My own custom INTAKE cheaper than banks or ats!!

'93 dodge ram 4x4 front brakes

Went to a county fair yesterday and 2 different booths were pushing mileage enhancement products. Up to 20% gain.

They were EnviroMax plus-a fuel additive, and ethos, fuel and oil additive.

Has anybody had any experience with them> They claim to have been around for a while, etc.

An engineer i met years ago said that most additives were as effective as "Mouse Milk"

I think the mouse milk is a waste of money. Now if you can find an additive that uses genuine, long molecule snake oil, those really work!

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

That stuff is probably right up there with the Tornado.

What the Tornado doesn't work !?!?!? You mean I wasted my money when I put one on post turbo pre intercooler??? I thought it would swirl the air for better cooling!

Whenever I hear about "fuel saver" additives I remember this phrase. A fool and his money are soon parted.

nah i think ya gotta stack the air charge pipes full of them for maximum effect, you'd need 20-30 of em but the gains would be amazing :-laf

OK, i just have to ask.

Is the Turbo Air Guide (TAG or TAG II) just more Mouse Milk? Or do they work?

Good question. I'm not an engineer but I do know a little about turbine aircraft engines. Turbines have stator vanes that guide/direct air into the rotors so its more efficient. I'd have to imagine if the TAG is designed well enough it could help. If the air flowing over the compressor blades is at the wrong angle the blades can "stall" (aerodynamics of relative airflow over the blade in relation to the blade chord). If a portion of the compressor has bad airflow it can reduce efficiency.

Wonder if anyone has any hard numbers that show what the TAG does for the engine.

Mouse Milk or Pixie Dust - - - is there any thing out there that works? Has anyone tried the Diesel Maxx or Turbo D-Vader? Got 1st load of ULSD last week, and mileage down by over 20%

If it did really work do you not think the car makers would be putting them in new cars from the factory. Cheap way to get their mpg numbers up... .

I got dupped once. Call Moto New... Came in a bottle with 3 steel balls in a oil liquid. Yes sir. . just put this in you gas tank and it will replate the rings and valves of you car as you drive... . Put it in the gas tank of a 62 Chev PU.

You got to remember the gas tank on this truck was behind the seat. Well 2 years later when I sold the truck you could still hear the steel balls rolling in the gas tank when you turned a corner... . :D

I made references to the TAG not providing much benefit which drew a post by the inventor. Technically, theoretically it will help but I can't belive that blocking that much of the intake tract with aluminum and having lower boost (a claim repeated on many buyer's posts here) is a positive thing.

I'd like to see an average of 3 dyno runs back to back (after a couple warm up runs) with and without a product to clearly show an increase. If the main goal is to eliminate the vortex wouldn't a simple plate divider down the center do the same thing and block less area?

When I see a person that works for a magazine getting stuff for free and only printing resoundingly positive news about the products, I get suspicious.

If all the top pullers were using it that would be a bit different. Kind of like Valco, I was talking to the guy at Sheid's Extravaganza. I bought the sealant a few years ago to get the dispenser I never used the product because 3M is the best (cheap and available locally) right? During our conversation it came out that they don't sponsor any more racers (top fuel, stock cars, etc. ) because it was costing too much. When they stopped the sponsorship program the racers called and wanted to buy it instead of switching to another free product. That says a lot.

From what I understand the Enviromax additive was designed to be used in unison with a pair of high-grade fuel magnets for maximum combined affectivness. .

If you look down this page http://www.dieselpowerproducts.com/tag you will see some testing we did regarding air flows for the Dodge Cummins. Most of the benefits of the TAG will be under towing conditions when the turbo is working to make boost. Keep in mind trucks are differnt modification and people drive differently so results using the TAG will vary. The best way to find out how the TAG will work in your truck is to try one. We won't make you any promises regarding mileage or performance, but if you don't like what it does for your truck, return it for a refund.

Fair enough.

I bet they will not give you your shipping back... Like I said before if it works so well... why don't all the car manufactures put them in at the factory????
