I'm just shy of 9K miles and finally got some empty tanks under her belt, first 3 tanks without any towing since I hit 500 miles. Just over 15 mph hand calc'd for a mixed bag of interstate, rural, and mountain driving in winter. I'm nearly at the bottom of a 4th tank without towing and I suspect I'm high 15.x to low 16.x, which is good considering it has few miles below 0°F, and multiple short trips without getting to operating temp.
It's incredibly quiet cruising at 80-85, even thou it feels like it's looking for a 7th gear with the 3.73's vs the 3.42's. All that aside, 85 mph is just under 2100 rpms and economy isn't noticeable any different than the '18 with 3.42's was, and the motor is likely still breaking in a little (37% towing has helped with break-in).
DEF consumption is holding at 140% of what the '18 used, both towing and empty. 350 mpg DEF towing and 700 mpg DEF empty. I'll likely quite a bit better this tank of DEF since I spent a while with a frozen DEF tank.
As mentioned in another thread, I have the dual 220A alternators and am liking them. The power requirement on a cold start is high enough that even the 440A can't keep up for a few minutes when COLD soaked even with 320A available at idle.
Cold soaked starts below 0°F are seamless. I had it as low as -19°F last week. With the EGR and VGT it warms up pretty quick, but the supplemental cabin heater is noticeable and nice to have.
One other difference I have verified at multiple temps from the '18 is that the EB button does nothing for warmup anymore, which I think is good for the oil (my 05 would soot load the oil anytime the EB was used routinely for warmup). On the '18 the VGT would close a little more with the EB on versus off, but not much. The '22 doesn't change at all, but it runs a fair amount of backpressure on it's own.
