Mirage car trailers

The Wife and I are finally making the move to Santa Fe, New Mexico. Were done with the rat race aka Los Angeles. A year ago we move into our Cedar Creek full time, so we dumped a lot of stuff. What I do have is 3 yes 3 trailers to move. A 22ft flat trailer with my 87 4Runner on it, A 25ft Aljo 5th wheel, and a 38ft Cedar Creek 5th wheel. I was thinking if someone were taking a trip east bound on forty they could pick up $500. 00. Looking to do this around the first of May.

Let me Know.

That's an 850 mile trip,I doubt anyone will volunteer for that kind of money with todays fuel prices.

My though was, if someone already going in that direction, they could pick up a few dollars. I did the math at 10 mpg (and we know we get a lot better than that) fuel would be $360. Hauling my MPG only drops by 2 to 3.

Hey can't blame me for trying.

BTW: Thanks for the great job on the front end truck rids a lot smoother!! I'm sorry you had to deal with those worn out tie rod end. They have all been replaced along with DSS.

Maybe it's time to thin out the herd and sell a few things! Welcome to the Land Of Enchantment

Thanks for the welcome.

Can't wait to get there. I'm going from living in a trailer park with no space, to NM where we have 13 acres. We thought about selling one of the trailers, but were living in the 38ft Cedar Creek, the flat trailer is my hauling trailer, and the 25ft Aljo only weights 6500lbs and is the perfect size for vacations. Hauling a 38. 5 trailer around is not my idea of vacation, and living in it there is way to much crap in it, also In this economy I don't think it is the right time to sell. As you can tell we have weight all this out.

I may leave the 25ft in Ca until we come out to visit.

hilda, you'll enjoy living in New Mexico as we do. A little dry at times, but the good far out weighs the bad points. We enjoy spending time around the Enchanted Circle, Red River, Taos, Angle Fire, Eagle Nest and Questa. Good luck moving the herd of trailers. :-laf

I might be going back that way around then... . notice my sig! ;)

I do have two cars that need to go 01 escape, and 87 4runner. I was going to put the 4runner on the trailer, but If you want to work something out I'm willing to listen.

Maybe I can join up with MMeier and help out, I have something in the works, possibly at that time, but still don't know as of yet.

Go to yesterdaystractors.com and post on the hauling schedule. Someone will more than likely be able to help you out. The cost is free.

Thanks for all the responses, I'm down to 2 trips. I'm going to run the Wife out with the 38ft cedar creek. Come back alone finish up at my job for a few weeks, and then drive back with my 25ft Aljo. My brother in law is going to take a road trip with my 4Runner and a friend is going to visit his family in OK in June and on the way drop it off for me.

If anyone needs something hauled back from NM let me know.
