Son sent me a video of his 2015 truck in ignition off position without foot on brake pedal. He was moving shifter from park to drive and back.

He said he already had the recall done and is now over 150k.

Thoughts and would this still be covered as it’s a life safety issue?

Ron,

If it was me I'd go to the dealer and talk to the service dept... They just might take care of it. You never know unless you ask.

Might be worth opening the tailgate for a visual inspection. If it was mine, I'd open and take pic's. With all the tech that we carry on our sides, someone might have been distracted from task at hand and didn't tighten the bolts holding the replacement stop. YES, Ram should want to take care of that PDQ!!! After they did mine, I double checked.
Woops, Was thinking of the other recall! Sometimes it's best to not try and multi-task or at least not have someone talking on and on about what they want to do around the house! Only thing that needs to be done is make sure truck is ready for warmer temps! My Bad.

The tailgate has something to do with the shifter interlock? I do know my Son forgot to drop his tailgate when pulling away from his gooseneck trailer and did a lot of damage.
