Any members in the Fort Dodge, Iowa area? Moving the first of the month. Looking to see if there are any contacts around there, i. e. diesel shops, dyno's, clubs... .

I am an hour west of there.

Might be a diesel performance shop going up in Des Moines in the not too distant future.....

That's pretty darn close to where I bought my truck (Clear Lake, IA)...

It's a bit of a hike to WI - but we have get-togethers every now and then...

(early) Welcome to the Midwest! I love it out here...

Welcome to Iowa pcarlson!

I'm in Le Mars, west of you. I've lived in Iowa all my life and have never made it to Fort Dodge, so I can't give you much info on the area. Guess I'll have to check it out someday.

Hope all goes well with your move.

There's no such thing as good seafood in the Midwest...

I haven't had seafood since I was out in MA back in early May... don't remind me. I ate at two of my favorite seafood places... Woodman's in Essex, MA and SS Lobster in Fitchburg, MA.

The various Weathervane locations are also pretty good eats...

How far from Webster City where you?

Also, have you done any business with Area Diesel? I stopped in their Des Moines shop and was quite disapointed by their facitlity and lack of knowledge.

I was a mile outside of Dayton. Probably 1/2- 3/4 hour from WC. I was only there a handful of times.

Never done any business with Area Diesel myself. Have been past there place in Des Moines, though.

ayuh, i think i might go fow-ah some lobstah tonight.

They got some whicked good lobstah chowdah out they-ah.

If it wasnt for terrible traffic (ie: mass yuppies) and the high living expenses I would have stayed out there.

be careful, MTY is from mass;) if you want to talk about chowdah, my dad and i went to that restaurant in Raymond, NH again last week. the best seafood chowder... ever... period. they use the little body meat and lots of butter... not like the local stuff.

Though Forumla makes the best clam chowder i've ever had (where the heck has he been anyways??)

when me and MKoth were out in laramie,wy, they had lobsters in a big tank, but i didn't try any... don't remember if they were even new england or not, don't believe so.

i'm gonna try to get out to Iowa within the next couple of months.
