Well after living in Michigan for 21 years its time for me to move back to my home state. I have had it with the winters and my arthritis goes nuts with the cold weather. So after going back to school for 3 years, I am changing professions from a computer tech to a High School Social Studies & History teacher (& maybe auto shop too) .
I am looking for a quite farming town or small suburb to teach in.
Unfortunately I have not been back in over 30 years and am not to familiar with any of the towns( I lived in Elizabeth town in the 1960s) so I would welcome any input or information you all might want to share about your community. Any info on teaching positions(I am checking the Kentucky Dept of Ed web site regularly) and ruff ideas on current prices of a 5 bedroom homes in your area would be great.
I hope to move this summer before my kids get too attached here, (got 3 boys and a girl ages 9, 5 , 2 & 11 months).
thanks
Kyle
