Anyone have any recommendations on Dealers or DTT Installers? Dealers so I know who to trust for service work, and DTT Installers becasue the signing bonus is paying for a new KTM 450XC or SMR and a Full DTT transmission! :) Wold be nice to spend the 8k for the KTM on fully decking out the truck... but I figure if I commute on the KTM some, it'll give the CTD a break once in a while! :)

Or any opinion on dirtbike riding in AZ?? Looking at scottsdale, suprise or anthem... not sure yet... any inputs appreciated.

Fred Swanson on the west side is the man for the DTT, www.desertdieselparts.com.

Dirt riding? LOL, its endless here, not restricted like socal, basically go where you want.

Anthem is nice, commute can be rought if your schedule is 8-5, mine is flexible so I avoid most of the conjestion. Scottsdale is $$$ but coming from socal you probably would not notice. Dont know much about the Surprise area other then a lot of building going on out there.

Checkout www.azdualsports.com for other KTM fanatics.

Ditto on Fred Swanson. Great guy really knows his stuff. He is also into riding as well.

Shameless plug but I got a house for sale in Queen Creek. But if you can afford to live in Scottsdale I don't think you would be interested.

I would spend a little money on a realy good alarm and bolt every thing down that you want to keep just got the heck out of there

in 4 years we had

2 trucks stolen

1 door mat

3 front yard plants

1 hose

1 set of tail lights

I would say go tempe it the center of everything

dont go to fred swanson---that guy is nuts!!!! after you take your truck to him--it blows black smoke!!!! :-laf

not sure if freds website is up --as he's currently getting his new shop built. but freds number is (623) 910 9575.

Thanks for the feedback guys... . 5 endorsments for Fred S! Sold!... . on the dirtbike thing, can you reg any dirtbike for street in AZ? 4 Strokes Only? I am going to get the KTM either way, but I also have an 03 CRF450 with the BD Wide Ratio Trans + offroad lighting... . it's real wicked and it'll do over 100 with a 50 tooth on the back... . (it's also a Canadian Bike... which you cant even register for a green sticker in CA). . would really like to get them both street registered... . is that going to be a problem for either one? Also they dont have that green / red sticker crap in AZ do they?

Boy will you be happy,

There is not green sticker issues in AZ. Plus you can register anything that meets the requirements mirror, horn, and turn signals which I think are optional even.

I have a friend that has a KTM 625 EXC, and with a baja kit now has it registered street legal. He also has a CRF 450 that he did the same thing to, AZ is so easy this way.

Its easy, you just take it to the MVD, have it inspected, pay to register it, get the title, plate, you are on your way.

Another friend just registered his CR500, it now has plates and he runs it down the road, crazy.

Not sure about Cal, but there are also ATV and Rhino's running around the streets here.
