Bobistheoilguy Forums?

2003 Suzuki GSXR 750 for $4800?

Roxio EZ cd creator will do that, also MP3 maker titanium

with roxio, you have to save the tracks as MP3's off the CD into a file, when you get enough music (about 160 normal length songs) you burn an MP3 CD with 12 hours of music on it if you use 128 bit encoding, which is the standard of sorts

itunes sucks because it does not provide the music in MP3 format , I have nothing that can read the format it uses, and I am not about to buy an Ipod since it also will not read MP3's and the battery in it sucks and is overly expensive to replace even at the new discounted $107. 00 price

even though it's an MP3 encoder, right? ;)

any cd player will read a cd burned with itunes, all you have to do is make sure your settings are correct...

acutally, it lasts for about 150 recharges, which is a few years, and the replacement kits are available online for about $50.

Also, with itunes, you just stick a music cd in, and you can set your computer to open ituens automatically and then rip the cd to the harddrive automatically, as well.

No personal attack meant, I'm just pointing out why what you said isn't quite on track. No hard feelings?

Feurio

Convert Audio to MP3 to Audio to wave, Audio Grabber, real multitasking (read and edit with two CDs), project management, CD Writer that uses minimial resourses, Track Editor, automatic amplitude adjustment, join tracks, increase/decrease pause in each track...

Feurio takes a little getting used to at first but, it is a quality application and the best thing is that its FREE :D I have been using V1. 64 for two years without a problem. The newest is V1. 67.

I stand corrected, the original itunes that people on another forum harped about would only do AAC files which none of my MP3 players would play

you obviously do not know anyone who works for the post office, 150 recharges would be about half the year of usage for the clerks and mail handlers who listen to portable radios and mp3 players 8 hours a day while at work, I have seen maybe 1 ipod there so far but many other types of MP3 players

I never considered buying an ipod because I thought it was overpriced to begin with (of course I think that of all apple products) and then I found out about the poor battery life and high replacemant costs compared to other units

I have been using Adaptec (now owned by Roxio) since my first CD burner so I continue to use it, ended up with MP3 maker gold because roxio will not convert a Wave file that is already on my hard drive to the MP3 format, and I already had several gigs of wave files on my hard drive from burning normal format CD's

I use audiograbber, bought it for like 20~25 bucks online, and have presently ripped around 13 gig's worth of MP3's with it. I also use the lame encoder with it.

roxio easy cd creator

just about all the media playing/burning programs will rip to Mp3

some are just easyer to use than others

I think roxio is one of the easyest

Exact Audio Copy comes highly recommended. I haven't used it personally, but I've read that it is a bit slower, but a lot more accurate.

I use Easy CD-DA Extractor. It lets you choose the bit-rate, and the newer versions allow for volume equalization. It's also pretty good at titling songs and albums.

Ditto. I second the motion for AudioGrabber. Pop the CD in, it hits the CDDB and names all the tracks for you, according your specs. It's quick, easy, and with your choice of encoders allows more flexibility and better audio quality than some of the 'all-in-one' type programs. This is one of only 2-3 shareware programs I've paid for in the past 10 years... even tho I had a 'free' registration key... it's just that good.
