MPG increase with new gears

Well, finally got to do a good run with the new gears. I went from 4. 10 back to the stock 3. 54 set up. Mileage looks like it is up 2 MPG. Went to Reno and back and got 21. 4 MPG, was getting about 19. 5. I feel it will do better on flat ground as the Reno run had lots of up hill and I drove at 70 most of the way there. This was with an empty truck.
