Mr Clean

Does any one else have one of these new Mr Clean auto dry things? I got mine today and used it and man i dont have a single water spot on the truck this is great. Now i can wash my truck then the wifes car buy the time im done with hers i can wax the truck ahhhhhhhhh life is good. :-laf Oo. Oo.

You know... if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.



How good is it at actually cleaning the truck? Right now I've got about a gazillion bugs on mine.

I gata tell you guys it is werth the 20 bucks i spent. The wash stage seems to be a little longer with a second rise at the end but no where near the time it takes to dry the truck by hand. I have hard water and a black truck w/ tinted windows and i dont have a single water spot on it.

How good is it for removing winter grime? Should I do a regular wash 1st or just use it per the directions?

just go with the directions. The sope that comes with it is great foams up realy nice. This was my first wash after the winter i got all the grim off and a good amount of mud out of my wheele wells.

To be honest, I was not impressed with the cleaning ability of the soap as far as winter salt/grime goes. Maybe I didn't do good with the sponge, and the end results weren't bad, but they weren't "show car" either. But there were NO water spots (as advertised). I bought it for quick washes in the winter time, and I believe my $20 was well spent.

Just got done washing my truck with "Mr. Clean". I was not particularly impressed with it. I had to keep going back over spots and it didn't remove the bugs worth a darn.



I used up the entire little bottle of soap that came with it. If I hadn't sprayed some in a bucket to work with, I'm pretty sure I would've run out of soap long before I ran out of truck.



The truck does look pretty nice now, with very few water spots.



Now I remember why I stopped washing my own vehicle. That took way too much time & energy. I'll just go back to taking it to the car wash and let someone else do the muscle work.

I haven't tried that Mr. Clean kit because I have pretty soft water here. That combined with the 2400PSI pressure washer makes the job fairly painless, although it still takes a long time to make the truck perfect, but that's mostly due to the wiping down of all the black plastic with protectant and doing the windows. The other nice part about the pressure washer is that I can blast all the spring pollen off the truck before I go to work and it blow dries on the way there, nearly spotless if it's been waxed recently. I never realized how much I'd use that thing until I got it... only $299 at Costco with a Honda motor... worth every cent.

I'm amazed it doesn't strip your paint! If I used such pressure on my '03 it would strip the paint (there was a problem with paint adhesion on the '03 trucks).

I use it on both trucks. It really shines on the Patriot Blue Durango. No spots at all. No water spots anywhere.



I keep the truck wet the whole time I'm washing, then rinse it with the Mr. Clean thing. Works great.

I bought one to use on my bike always have spots on the chrome. It worked great, no spots... Used it on the truck no spots, the soap does go fast...

I bought one about 6 weeks ago ($5 off with coupon from Mr Clean Website) We live in an area with lots of salt in the water, the town even provides R/O water at city hall and my wife uses it on the flowers. We have an R/O unit for our drinking and cooking water. Now to Mr. Clean, I have used it about 4/5 times on my truck and her car. I used it enough to buy additional filters and soap. When I look at surface of either vehicle I can see a haze, so I back to my chamois for drying.

The soap runs out QUICK. I did'nt use that much either. When I first switched the sprayer to the D. I (autodry) water I thought I had a bad unit. Very little pressure. I thought to myself how am I gonna rinse the soap of with this?



Then I figured you use the D. I water to kind of "paint" the sheet metal like you would a paint spray gun after you have rinsed the soap off w/ the regular rinse.



Works as advertised. Good product.

I was also impressed with the product. I was not expecting too much do to sounding too good to be true. Anyone with the patriot blue knows how easily the water spots show. But the proof ws in the end result. There were absolutely no water spots after washing with the Mr. Clean unit. I will definately be using it again.



The sponge definately seemed to pick up more dirt than when washing with a bucket.



The truck even seemed to stay clean longer than when washed the traditional way.

I noticed this too. My sponge was almost black. Could'nt figure out where it came from. Never saw it before.

Yeah, the dirt surprised me since I try to keep my truck pretty clean. the directions did say that the sponge may become dirtier than when washed the traditional way. Can't wait to see what it looks like the second time around.
