I am looking for a good sled pulling tire but I also drive over 400 miles a day so I need to get decent miles out of them. Anyone had good or bad luck with Baja Claws? I don't know any one who has had them so I am looking for experiences good and bad or any other suggestions. Thanks.

Those tires won't last you six months driving 400 miles everyday. :(

You need a GOOD radial M/T, and even then you will not get much life out of mud terrains on the street 25-40? K miles if you rotate and take care of them.

400 miles a day for 6 months is ~72000 miles. That's pretty good for most D-E rated tires.

I had a set of 38" Baja Claws on a 2000 Ford SD. They wore OK (Might get 40k out of them), but they are LOUD. They were good tires - round and easily balanced, even for a tire that weighed 100+lbs.

I have run BFG MT's (35"), BFG AT's (33" 35"), Baja Claws(38"), and Interco's(38"). THe BFG's wore the best. The At's are quieter, but the MT's weren't as obnoxious as the swampers or the claws.

I ran a set of claws last year and they wore good but like DJennings said 40 k if your luckey. Plus you gotta have some serious power to pull with them. I have ran a set of procomps but they didnt wear well, good pullin tire though.

I pulled a # off the top of my head ;) :p

Nobody I know drives 400 miles a day! and most commonly tires are replaced every year to year & half so I just used 6 months.

How much power is "serious" enough? I'm guessing/hoping by summer I will be around 500hp. Or would like BFG A/Ts be good enough? I have had good luck (mileage) with them so far.
