This Christmas I recieved a set of mud flaps as a gift. The flaps are the fancy plastic ones with polished stainless strips at the bottom. I have been brain-storming over how to mount these mud flaps. I want them to hang 90* from the ground and not contour to the fenderwell like most pickups do. I recently came up with an elaborate blueprint that may work for single rear wheel (SRW) 1st gens. Please feel free to let me know what you think or suggestions you may have. I will post pics once the project is complete.

That looks like a good idea! Maybe get some generic flaps or plain rubber and go from the box frame to the cross piece. That will keep stuff from going over, and protect the inside of the box side. ;)

Thanks Pete! Yeah, I want to use a spray/under coating inside the fenderwells sometime. Right now they look horrible! I like your idea of putting some rubber shielding in there. :-laf Good Idea

No prob! I still need to do something to mine. I used some big rig flap mounts, and the springs hit when I'm loaded, plus, no upper protection.

You can go to a large truck stop a get the no fly mounts and cut them to fit your truck. I got mine at Flying-J they do a good job ben on truck seance 03.
