Hey guys and dolls?

Wondering what, if any, mudflaps some of you with stock suspension on a 2500 4x4 with larger than factory tires are using.

I don't plan on lifting the truck as I am only using 33-inch 285/75s, which sometimes, when brand new, would rub against the inner fender well when turning tight and compressing suspension.

I was planning on using the Dodge molded flaps and wondering if anyone had any problems installing and driving with these flaps... i. e. large tires rubbing, etc.

Ran over some horse pie #ad
the other week while 4-wheeling #ad
and it got flung all over the rocker panels and in the door seams, so I though some flaps might same me some grief. Also, I tow a boat and the flaps might keep some of the salt water on a ramp from hitting and rotting my rockers #ad
.

tks.

Steve

Homicide... (as in detective??). . Jason Burton of NW Custom makes some of the best designed mudflaps around. He also lets you choose from several options, so you can be "different". Here is one design, although it is an old picture... . contact Jason @ 509-291-3800. www.omnicast.net/nwcustom He also has full length rocker panels.

I just installed the husky liner brand, and I am pretty pleased with them. They are similar to the dodge molded style, these are one piece plastic and paintable if thats your thing. I dont really like the look of the big "truck" style, to gaudy for my tastes. I had my truck less than a month and already had a handful of rock chips.

Be careful of the molded types/brands of mud flaps... if they touch ANY PORTION of the painted body surface THEY WILL damage the paint! I guess one should ask him or herself, what are you trying to protect anyway?

BTW, the REAR NW Custom mud flaps pictured above on my Ram are the 18" wide version... there is also a 12" wide version available for the 2500 (Andy Perreault has these on his Ram). The FRONT mud flaps are only available in the 12" width.
