I want to put on a set of flaps to protect our new 5er and I was wonder who has the best looking. . It wouldn't be that hard if my truck was the 3500. . but I am one of the under tired trucks:D

Two companies that I like are Proflaps and Northwest Customs.

I have the Proflaps as well as my girlfriend. They are relitively inexpensive with stainles weights on the bottom. I like the rears especially because they have coverage of 14" which work well for my 295' tires. :)

The Northwest customs are nice as well, I'm sure someone will pipe up about them ;)

Yes,

They screw to the inside the fenderwell as well as utilizing a bracket. The bracket attaches to a bolt throught the bottom of the fender and connects to the inside of the mudflap. a pretty good design. Unfortunately the front bracket I believe is designed for an older model dodge because the bracket won't work. I modified it to attach to the a fender bolt. it just took a few minutes with a vise and a pair of pliers. Of coached a few people already on how to do it. If you decide to get these. let me know.

I have had MANY compliments on my NW Custom mud flaps... I have the 12" wide front flaps with the 18" wide rear flaps using the brushed stainless steel mounts, flap weights and emblems (12" wide rear flaps are also available for the 2500s).

I had a front and rear set of Pro Flaps however, I never even permanently mounted the front set as it looked as though there would be an interference fit between the tires (285s then) and the flaps (as they were clamped into position). After I returned the Pro Flaps, I ordered my NW Custom mud flaps... just the way I like it too... MY WAY! CUSTOM! :D That's the thing; you have many choices for: width of flaps and mounts, emblems on the rear flaps (or not), mount, weight and emblem material (brushed stainless steel or diamond plate aluminum), and length of the rubber flaps. As you can see, everything is open to choice! Don't like the cuttouts in the weights or the available flap emblems? NO PROBLEM! CUSTOM is their name... just give Jason a call and discuss your ideas.

Jason Burton, owner of NW Custom has been great at providing me with exactly what I have been looking for in the way of custom accessories too... and you can't beat his level of customer service.

How about one of those removeable curtains that you hang under the bumper??? The only problem that I see is that the chrome 5" turn down is right there...

I just dont want to beat the front of our new trailer like the old one. It was a mess when we got it too. .
