Thanks guys

Great info, and great article link, Ben. I think I'll order the Daystar 2" spacer and go for the 315's. I've found the Daystar spacers as cheap as $179. I'll live without the dual shock setup and new cross-links (for now). Maybe I'll check the price of the ProComp kit first though.

Found a shop locally that will test fit the 315's, but they sold their last set this week, and they are on backorder! That's just my luck. All of the local dealers are now matching the BFG prices, so I can get them for $197. That's within about $20 per tire of TireRack. After about $50 of shipping, the price is really close, so I think I'll buy locally.

Thanks again for all the help

Tires are On!

315/75/16 Goodyear Wrangler MT/Rs installed today! In spite of nationwide backorder from Goodyear, local NTB found me a set, had them shipped from Louisiana, and installed them at lunch today. With no lift on stock rims, the only rubbing is very slight on the lower control arms as many folks here suggested.

Truck looks great. I've got auto with 3. 54 gears, and the tires don't bog me down enough to notice on take off. This weekend I'll do my first towing with these tires. They do make a little road noise, but if that bothered me I wouldn't be driving a diesel! I can feel a slight bounce, possibly from out of round. If it's there in a week, I may get the tires checked for round at a shop with a machine to shave them down to round.

My 2" spacers should be in within the next week, so I'll get it aligned after I put them on. Purchased the Tuff Country spacers, which are $119 with $20 shipping.

For speedometer correction, I may have to go with the Skyjacker box. Dakota Digital box forces you to disable ABS. Haven't found a price for the AutoTrans Re-Calibrator model yet. If anyone knows of another brand, let me know.

Chris, Glad to hear you got your tires. I had to get three replacements (7total) tires before I got ones that would balance. I have Ultra alloys that are 8" wide. This eleminates the control arm rub I am not sure you lift will because the tire is still to close in. Give it a try though it might work. My speedo is about 8 to 10 mph slow depending on speed. I have just got used to itr now and know within 1/2 mph where its at. Good luck Dave
