JVolpe or Anyone, Do the huskys mounting holes line up with the existing holes on the truck? I seem to recall reading here some where that the huskys and Mopar's did but try as I may I can't find the post.

Thanks Bill

abdiver,

The Huskies and I am pretty sure the Dodge molded flaps use three mounting screws. Two of them line up with the wheel well holes. You have to drill one hole inside the fender edge.

YoHoot, Nice Job and looks good, Any chance you can post a pic showing the entire truck wheel well as the 2 pic you posted show the emblem real clearly but would like to see a couple views from further away a rear and side would be great.

Well I made a mistake :( , I had to drill two holes to mount the flaps. One through the inside of the fender edge and one in the wheel well liner. It had been too long since I had installed them. I does seem the memory is the first thing to go

I bought the Pro Flaps from www.proflaps.com in December of last year. So far I'm very happy with the effectiveness and looks of these flaps. My '03 has stock rims and tires, and not one new rock chip since the flaps went on. I bought model #103 for the front and #201 for the rear. Even though they show them on a 2nd gen body on their website they work for 3rd gens as well. They are longer than the oem molded ones I had on my '02 and they have a nice lookin' mirrored stainless weight on the bottom  .

I knew it

I knew you would put your 2cents in Blakers. I thought you would have done it sooner than now. But since you were the one that gave me the idea for it... you deserve all the credit. Thanks for the idea. I just wish now I would have made mine a little wider like yours.

I guess that means I now have to get bigger tires!!!

To go w/ the wider mudflaps.

Mud flaps

Well my 99 truck had more rust on it in one year than my 93 did when I sold it in 98. Will try to figure out how to get pictures on the site shortly on the mud flaps. Mine are 24 x24" front and 24x32" in the front of the rear tire, 24x36" on the back being a dually. and they are about 4" off the ground and they keep the rocks where they belong. Mounted off the frame. Chains to keep them in place mounted off of the running boards that are 2 piece and 14" wide. The mud flaps were about + $6. 00 ,+ $7. 00 and + $9. 00 for them in order of mounting so much cheaper then the factory priced one's. For if someone wants me to advertise for them they can make them cheaper. ! :D

Buy Cat Power. Oo.

That is a good price! I'm gonna order up a set. The dealer wanted $70 a pair for the same exact thing.

=abdiver]JVolpe I like the look what is the part number for the logo's you placed on the flaps ?? Other words where do I get the logos?

Thanks Bill

I see Cabela's have the husky mudflaps for 29. 99 per pr.

Nate, That's what is so GREAT about this site fellow members helping each other. I have been helped many times, I am glad reciprocate.

Some mentioned the mudflap wore away some paint where the flap contacted the paint and it was suggested to use some 3M product a clear film to first place on the paint before installing mudflaps. Cabela's has a clear film site below.

I like these Jeff, but OUCH on the price! But they do look like they would last a long time!

The Husky flaps came with 3M clear film to protect the paint. The Cummins logos are the ones that are on the truck fender. Don't know the part number, but the dealer parts department is very proud of them.

Yeah I'm not super worried about the paint since the flaps will hide it. Unless it wears it down to the metal and starts to rust. I hate rust!

I'm getting tired of cleaning tar, etc off the bottom of the truck. It's that light silver color so everything shows on it.
