Thanks Bill-

Sounds like there are more than one type of anti-spray available. If anyone has a P/N for the 5-hole version (excluding long bolt hole) I would appreciate it. The dealer claims that there is only one available.

Foolish?

Since no-one else had much input on the Huskys I decided to buy a set and report back to the group. They were only $58 so it is hard to loose. 10 day shipping so I'll let you know what I think when they arrive.

If they don't look good I'll hit the DC dealer for some of the anti-sprays.

Stock so far but considering bedliner and louvered gate... then?

Dresslered & others. I had the same problem with the rear flaps on the 3500 dually. They are the only flaps available and the holes don't line up on 2001. If I recall, there are two holes that don't line up.

Was going to return them and thought "what the hell", just drill two holes for the 2 that don't line up. There about an inch or two off from the factory holes. Works just fine and can't tell the difference.

dresslered:

I have the Spring 2000 accessory Data Book and there are two part numbers that are not listed in Thomas' reply.

Black, front w/Black logo 4WD #82401227
Black, rear, dual wheels, w/Black logo #82206392 (late availability for 2001 model year) No mention of the bolt pattern.

Hope this helps.

Bajapilot-thanks for the info. I think that I will probably take this approach.

Red1ton-I think that you have the correct answer! Why can't the dealer tell me this?

BPine-I was *****in' the rest of the evening for not making it to the tech session-was still painting the new garage. Sounds like you were having some real fun on MCrossleys' rig. Want to hear more about the pyro install as well as your 12-v flaps!

Ah - now I get it dresslered. Nothin' wrong with the flaps. Your truck's just too new. Probably why it came with all those extra valves too. Seriously, isn't it neat how we can find out things here that the dealers don't know about???

I was thinking about giving my dealer a free subscription to the TDR. But would he really use it?

I like my Cummins mudflaps. I took 2 manufactured 3" angles (Unistrut) and welded gussets on them so they wouldn't break from the bouncing of the flaps. Then I bolted some 18" inch piece of 1" anglr iron to that. I bolted them up to one of the bolts on the side of my receiver (I don't think I had to drill it). I then hung my mudflaps on those. It worked out pretty well.

Okay, so has anyone installed flaps with 19. 5" wheels? I'm looking for something to go with 285/70-r19. 5's, and everything out there looks pretty tiny. Would prefer some diamond-plate/raw-rubber combo, if it exists.

dnelson, have you checked out the NW Custom mud flaps? The length of the rubber portion can be made as long as you want them to be. That's just one of the reasons that Jason's company is named NW Custom. In addition, the mud flap mounts and weights (and center mounted emblems if ordered) can be either aluminum diamond plate or brushed stainless steel.
