Does anyone have a copy of the TDR Issue 13, page 40 that they could give me the basic idea, or results of the article? I see in Genos catalog they say that there was a test done with the ME Kit vs. stock exhaust. I have been beating myself up lately trying to decide what I want to do- straight pipe it from Genos, or spend a bit more, maybe go 4" all the way. If Genos MEKit is a bit louder than stock, then I'll get the hacksaw now :-laf . Otherwise, back to the forum I go... Thanks a bunch

you've already got 4" exhaust...

all my buddies who have 3rd gens, just cut the exhaust before the cat and after the muffler and run straight 4" from the downpipe to the tailpipe

Trust me you will like it. Like above you already have 4". just get the pipe to replace the muff. and pull off the kitty if you want, mine is still there though.

Oh you might want a sawzall, that hacksaw will take you forever. :-laf

No you don't the 04s have 3. 5" from turbo elbow to muffler and 4" after the muffler. if you are going for high H/P then 4" will help but you will not see any H/P increase with a stock truck or moderate mods

No,no, I dont want any more HP, 305 is too much as it is. :-laf . #1 priority is NOISE. I also wouldn't mind a little increase in MPG's. But yes, I know, the right foot gets a bit heavy when straight piped :D
