1Tufdsl,
I bought my own Magnaflow muffler & took it to Pro Muffler, 8615 W. Kelton Ln. , Bldg. 3, Ste. 306, Peoria, AZ. 85382-4758, 623-876-9660 (87th Ave. , 2 blocks south of Bell Rd. ). They charged $30. 00 for the muffler install plus $50. 00 for a section of 4" pipe. With tax, $84. 65.
My truck is an '03 & had 3-1/2" pipe up to the tail pipe section. I had the muffler installed immediately after the stock downpipe. So, after the muffler I wanted 4" pipe & Pro Muffler provided it. Basically, I paid for a 10' length of 4" pipe & only got about 1/2 of it. I should have bought the pipe from the warehouse where I got the muffler.
Pro Muffler did do a very nice job of installing the muffler & I would go back, again. They were cheaper than other muffler shops I approached about the install. I, also, sent a friend of mine who is very fussy & he was very happy with the work he received.
I know you are looking for a 51" Donaldson or Nelson but, I'll give you an idea of what I got & paid for. I bought a Magnaflow muffler #12772 ($68. 44) & a 3-1/2" to 4" transition ($13. 25). With tax it was $81. 69. Bought these items at Muffler Dealers Whse. in Gilbert, AZ. 480-633-8918.
My Magnaflow is a 24" muffler & it's loud when you put your foot into it. Otherwise, it doesn't seem too loud to me. I'm happy with it & the installation.
If you're not doing anything on Saturday March 11, '06, at 10:00 AM. There is going to be a Meet & Greet in Eloy, AZ. This will be held at the Pilot Travel Center (Truck Stop) on I-10, exit 208, between Phoenix & Tucson. Just a bunch of Dodge/Cummins enthusiasts getting together to talk about the trucks & compare notes. Nice folks. If you are interested, I hope you can come. The more, the merrier. There's notice of it in the Regional Events (Southwest) forum. Might pick-up some good information, there.
How do you like your Arctic Fox 22-H? I have a Nash 25-S & really like it. I've dragged it all over the country & into Canada. There is an Arctic Fox/Nash Club with an AZ. Chapter that has camping events, here. I've never been to one but, it sounds like they have a good time. At least one of the TDR members (KLenger) belongs & goes on their camping trips. Sounds like he always has a good time. The website is afnash.com. At least 3 of my friends have Nash products & all like them.
Hope to see you in Eloy.
