Muffler

I have an '04 duallie and would like to replace the muffler. I'm looking for something with the big rig sound. Any thoughts?

If your '04 has a cat, just delete the muffler for a little more sound. If you don't have a cat, try a Magnaflow muffler. They're straight through design with pretty good pricing.

I stupidly bought an entire after market SS 4" exhaust from Diamond Eye. A few months down the road, all the tubing was completly rusted. What a waist of money! Then straight piped the truck w/ 14 gauge aluminzed tubing. Good sound and cheap! But be aware that it is loud when pulling hills with heavy loads.

I have an Mbrp and my buddy has the dual Magnaflow system. I love the way his sounds but my MBRP is definitely closer to a big rig sound than his Magnaflow. He agrees.

I got the one in my sig from my local Cummins dealer for under $100. I've been quite happy with it. Makes my truck sound like a truck without being harsh. Whatever you get, be sure to install it as far forward as possible to minimize drone.
