Mufflers???

well, i went down and got the muffler and ressinator cut off the other and this truck is REAL loud, i like the way you can hear the turbo but i was wondering what kinda options i had for mufflers other than going back stock, i was thinking about the flow but i am not sure, i heard they where bad for it, i want to try to keep most off the sound, just tone it down a little, any ideas???? what about the jardines?? any good?

put your resonator back on. i have only the resonator and it sounds fine.

They sound real good with just the resinator, a deep throaty sound, not to loud. Geno's Garage sales a muffler elemination kit, a simple bolt on.

I have the JRE 4” exhaust, it has a nice mellow and throaty sound to it, and you can here the turbo through the tailpipe. We put my tailpipe at a 60*s and it is definitely quieter in the cab.

Ditto on the JRE kit. Not annoying in the cab. But when you floor it, you know you have an exhaust. I love it. Scares the hell out of people when you pass them.

HOSSDIESEL-- The flowmaster muffler is ok to use on our trucks as long as you get a muffler without a tuning chamber. For more info about this call Dan @ flowmaster, 888-356-9627. I have a flowmaster on my truck and it sounds good and runs good.

Although I'm not a 24v'er, I agree with the others to just put the resonator back on. It will mellow it out while still giving you an agressive, not too loud, tone.
