Multiple Dash Warning Lights On

I'm having intermittent warning lights on the dashboard 2012 RAM 2500
Sometimes it happens when I hit a bump.
The ABS, 4-wheel drive service, and traction control lights will turn on. Sometimes they turn off without doing anything other times a restart will be normal. But not all the time. And today a weird thing. It indicated I had a trailer hooked up when I did not!
I assume it's a loose connection but I have not found anything yet.
Does anyone have an idea?

If those two are related it's likely a ground issue, but I would start by looking for loose connections at your wheel speed sensors for the ABS/4x4/Traction lights.

Check the trailer connector for internal corrosion, the normally invisible backside I mean. Mine once turned the brake lights of the truck to permanent on that way. One wouldn't believe that...

I just towed over 600 miles. So the plug had been in and out a few times. But worth a check.

I just found a link on a different site (non-Diesel) reporting possible pinching of the wiring for the 4X4.

I just towed over 600 miles. So the plug had been in and out a few times. But worth a check.

That's what I meant with backside, the side where the wires run at the Truck.
Inside that compartment mine was all corroded. The side where you plug in was pristine.

@pvanwig, You'll also need to check for tracking on the trailer plug side. Even though you just were towing, tracking can still be present in the connector. As @Ozymandias has stated, the back side of the trailer connector could be the same issue. A good check on both sides would be advised. @AH64ID also has a good thought on the connections and grounds. Being yours is a '12, the grounds would need a good look over! Grounds cause havoc on our trucks when they've failed! Good luck in find the issue!

We have been seeing more and more of this on our crummys and other fleet rigs, along with many other weird electrical gremlins, as indicative of a TIPM failure.

Before you consider something major like a tipm replacement, and if you don’t find anything in the trailer connector, check over the wiring harnesses that carry the wheel speed sensor wires.

My ‘13 gas truck had a speed sensor wire rub out on the right front frame. The abs, service 4wd, and traction control lights all came on.

My ‘16 Cummins had the same exact issue except on the driver side harness, and all the same lights.

On my ‘20 the harness that carries the rear wheel speed sensor wire runs near the abs module on the frame and it rubbed out right near a main connector where there is no loom on the wires. This time in addition to the abs, traction, and service 4wd it also added service trailer brake system and disabled the trailer brake circuit.

The dealer told me that if it can’t read accurate wheel speed from the rear axle it won’t allow trailer brakes to function because it can cause an uncontrolled skid.
