Don't forget that times are changing.
And that there is a difference between a pickup truck sold to the public and a Semi or even a D11...

Remember the multimillion dollar recall for the armrests lid from GM a couple years ago? There is for sure no way Chryslers lawyers would allow to sell these cars as new.

When my new 2000 Sonoma pickup with 1/2 a tank of dealer gas still in it was totaled out with only 150 miles on the clock by being hit in the driver side door and bending the frame as well as wrapping the cab over the frame ... the bodyshop said the only lower mile vehicle they seen was when a vehicle fell off the upper level of the transporter truck while being delivered to a dealer. My replacement (3 weeks later) had the rear window broke during transport. Had to take it in under warranty for the dealer to remove broken glass from some areas (like in the bottom of the 3rd extended cab door trim) they had missed and was making noise. I knew about it because it was in the back lot with the broken window when I bought the one that got totaled.

My 2018 had damage to the left mirror (IMO from the lift when installing the running boards before I took delivery because I have pictures of the undamaged truck before I signed the paperwork...) but it was written as transport damage on the service writer paperwork. Replaced and I didn't care who paid the bill as long as it wasn't me.

Locally a load of Tesla's derailed. There's a "Train Cam" that watched the process of clearing the tracks. Car Haulers were on their sides and just pushed off the tracks, about 6 of them. The Bulldozers were then used to drag the cars out of the haulers. The a big tired fork lift drove them about 1 mile to flatbed trucks to be hauled off.

A few parts should have been salvageable but the cars were pretty messed up, like those trucks.

Just past the Tehachapi Loop in Central California.

Was in the GMC dealer other day and woman was telling me her daughter bought a New gmc suv, said front end kept shimmying, took it back to dealer and they said nothing was wrong, so she took it to local mechanic and he showed her that her front tie rod was nearly broken in two, took it back to dealer and pointed it out and they finally fixed it, now that's pretty shoddy, on both the dealer and the builder

Not like RAM has a better track record of say shoveling this exact thing under the rug with a V06 recall. https://www.turbodieselregister.com/threads/new-recall-v06.265930/

They will be repaired and sold. Happens a lot. If y’all knew how much devcon and helicoil was used on modern assembly lines across the world it would make ya vomit lol
