You are forming your opinion of IRP on what has happened at NHRA DRAG RACING events, that have nothing to do with Diesels.
That would be like someone not going to a NASCAR truck race at IRP, because they didn't like the way the DHRA was running the truck pulls at the same venue.
As far as police being a problem, so far we have been fortunate at both places, but why would anybody expect the police to let a bunch of Diesel trucks destroy their town??
Thats severely flawed thinking on our part. Common sense goes a long ways.
On the other hand, there is drag racing, sled pulls, dyno, and burnout contest at the track. You would think some of these street heros would sign up for a chance to win some money, legally??
