You are forming your opinion of IRP on what has happened at NHRA DRAG RACING events, that have nothing to do with Diesels.



That would be like someone not going to a NASCAR truck race at IRP, because they didn't like the way the DHRA was running the truck pulls at the same venue.





As far as police being a problem, so far we have been fortunate at both places, but why would anybody expect the police to let a bunch of Diesel trucks destroy their town??

Thats severely flawed thinking on our part. Common sense goes a long ways.



On the other hand, there is drag racing, sled pulls, dyno, and burnout contest at the track. You would think some of these street heros would sign up for a chance to win some money, legally??

We raffled off a chance to ride last year with Curt Haisley, and donated the proceeds to charity. There wasn't a whole lot of response, but the winner seemed to enjoy himself immensely.

Gosh I kept kicking myself in the arse for forgetting to buy about 5 tickets to that Shed Putter! :{

Not a raffle

We raffled off a chance to ride last year with Curt Haisley, and donated the proceeds to charity. There wasn't a whole lot of response, but the winner seemed to enjoy himself immensely.

To me, a raffle is nothing but gambling. Everyone has their own opinion about raffles, but I will hold my money until a sure thing comes along. I remember that raffle. I was tempted then, as I was tempted to "Do My Diesel. "



I have been to both places, as far as the poll goes.

... Anyone who has experienced the "IRP" experience can attest to how they treat people. It doesn't matter what form of racing I have been there with its all the same,not worth the drive. IRP has never ever been known as a fan friendly environment. ...

Gee, Andy. I would take that as a personal slight if I couldn't see that 10" brush in your hand. Since I've never been to an NHRA event at ORP@Indy, I've no idea how they treat their fans. At our event there, fans are pretty much allowed to go anywhere and do anything, so long as they are mindful of safety and respectful of property. A certain bunch from 'Campbell County, KY' caused wanton damage in '05, which resulted in great restrictions in the use of personal git-around vehicles on the premises.



Granted, the amenities at ORP@Indy may leave something to be desired, but with O'Reilly money in there now, the general conditions there should start improving.

Fest... . the Campbell County Pulling team was not the purpose of the great restrictions now enforced @ IRP like you are trying to imply.



Yes they had a mini-scooter there "similar" to the one that did the damage, but it was not one the CCPT's members nor their scooter used in damaging the grounds.
