Competition Cummins Diesel Dragster goes 8.752 / 148 at Muncie

Competition Roll Call For Muncie

The Kent Crowder/Scheid diesel super puller truck will take victory in the open class.

2nd place will be Chris Watson if he shows up with his Ford/Cummins/Scheid truck.

3rd I dont know, its going to be hard to tell depending on who shows up.

Street Class... .

I will venture to say that alot of the local trucks will dominate.

Local as in Kentucky, Indiana, Missouri and Ohio.

There will be a couple high placing Duramaxes in the mix.

Dynoing... . Well I think Don M is coming with some weapons to own the dyno for the weekend... . So watch out.

Can he be beat? Hes trying to get us in our own backyard... braggin rights (ya know!).

This looks to be a great event.

I would venture to say there will be at least 1. 5 X's the amount of people as last year.

I look forward to seeing everyone there... .

Anybody else have some predictions?

That's easy... ... . The top spot is a given in the open class.

Gene will be there. And remember the pull ain't the only thing going. There's a stip of asphalt we'll be on too.

. . Preston. .

No doubt Kent/Scheid will be the top dog. Oo.

My prediction on the most surprising thing that will happen?

Don_M will maybe admit that there ARE 1,000hp trucks. Once old David Lott saw it he believed. Jim Fulmer too, maybe Don will be the next!! :D :p

Yall have fun as I can't go this year. :{

I think it will be interesting. Based on this years rules and qulifications it will be interesting to see what Kent does. To the best of my knowledge he has never hooked to the sled twice in the same day and always turns down a pull off. Based on the info on the Thunder in Muncie web site he will have to hook twice to take the top honor, once in qualifying and once in the pull offs.

My predictions:

  • Justin will have his palmcorder strapped to his head for 99% of the entire weekend.
  • Gene will be causing trouble, as usual.
  • There will be many people having an absolutely 'wicked good' time... even if there isn't any good clam chowdah nearby.
  • Beer consumption will be at a rate on par with (or better than... ) any decent college.
  • There will be lots of tomfoolery in the Lee's Inn parking lot - thanks to Wheaties' can of Never Dull
  • TMTT will be smiling from ear to ear all weekend long.
  • Muncie will be hoppin' - 'nuff said.

Matt

I believe Kent will take the top spot in the Open Class, in the others I have no clue. But the regular pullers will definitely do well.

I am just excited to see all the sweet looking trucks. I can't wait for the pulls, and to finally watch some more DHRA!

I predict (wether you like it or not) the Dmax's WILL be up in the standings, look out guys they run strong, I have seen some very good runnings max's. Other predicts: I will hook once! Some one is bound to get a ticket for smoke or road racing.

Should be some kinda fun

Craig

Kinda pokin at the Smokers a little bit there aren't ya? How did Kevin do Saturday night? I saw him pull in the morning, but I must have been in the middle of a beer Saturday night.

P. S. Congratulation to Ray Gullet from the Show Me Smokers. He got 3rd Saturday night.

Tisdale and Severson did well - besides them, I wasn't really rooting for anyone else.

AFAIK: Only one guy got arrested for his actions @ TiM '04. The insanity in front of Lee's Inn could never happen in any other town - ANYWHERE.

Matt

Who got busted? The Ford guy who re-landscaped the Days Inn when he couldn't make the turn? Or was it the guy who nailed it taking off from Lee's with all the cops waiting around?
