So now that i see the list i do see that Clint was able to get paid for his street truck with an adapter plate. Seems fair to all of the other 58 trucks bellow him in the class who followed the rules.

Matt,

The Duramax guys that called and asked were told before the event that they could build a stand to bolt the turbo to as long as it used the Dodge sized foot to bolt too. There were 3 Duramaxes in the class using Dodge bolt pattern turbos on stands. The Duramax turbo has no mounting flange so if you want to run anything besides a stock turbo you have to build a mount for it. It would not have been very good of the DHRA to have allowed all the other makes to use aftermarket turbos, but to stick the Duramax with nothing but stock.

Perhaps the Dodge guys would like to compete against the Duramax with nothing but HX-35's?

The rules were not perfect, if you have suggestions, please take the time, and write them out formally, and send them to the tech department at DHRA.

The first time seeing the heavy hitters was amazing. The amount of ground speed Kent Crowders truck had at the end made the flag man run to stop him before he ran out of room:D :D :D .

Van Haisley's "Rock Hard Ram" is a very nice truck and made a very impressive pull for the first time down the track. It will be very interesting to see how the rest of summer plays out in the Midwest once he has this ride all sorted out.

Erik Stacy's new paint scheme and flames really stood out under the lights, man that truck is sweet looking. It definitely will command your attention when you see it. Nice Job on the refinish of you ride Erik.

All the competitors should get a Job well done as should the DHRA Officials for keeping the show moving and providing the crowd show to remember.

I feel the pull of the night(and I am NOT taking anything away from the others who pulled) though was Ryan Milby's last pull after the heavy hitters were done. Ryan came back around and took a very respectable shot at the sled(this was with it still set for the modified trucks). The speed and distance he pulled it with a single charger showed he has a ride that can pull with the best. I am not certain what his final distance was as I got distracted while they announced it and missed it,dooohh.

Now if someone can get Gene to answer his radio and NOT drive my truck out of the hole like that again I'll be happy :D :D :D ... ... Andy

Gene, sounds good. I just wish i could have got that answer when i asked about it earlier and at the pull. If you remember i was trying to convince you to let them run turbos a few weeks ago but was told only in pro street. Great job with everything else at the pull. Looking forward to terra haute.

I see there are a couple first genners in the street class top ten. Are they memebers of this board? I'd be interested on what they are running if it ain't top secret. :D

Thanks for posting the info sleddy.

Michael

Gene, i got 4th place in the street class. need to check the distances again.

Ryan M. 's truck was running very stout!

Gene i am still ****** about the payout for street diesels. it is not the street guys responsibilty to carry the load of the payout for the pro street and modified trucks. The street guys bring more people thru the gates than any other class. you will never have 75 trucks in the pro street class unless you will allow trucks to hook in more than 1 class. and you can't do that and make trucks qualify. jmho, take it how you want.

Oh yeah, i am planning on coming to the canfield, oh pull. can't wait should be a hell of a time. what is it gonna cost to get into the event? what is the cost to pull? and what is the PAYOUT going to be?

thanks, nick

I think Gullets 92 truck is running a 24 valve engine but I'm not positive. Nick is your truck the white rig that pulled in Owensville a few weeks ago at the mud bog? Sounds like you did well at Muncie also.

Anybody got the link for the street class qualifying results? I already know the results for the finals.

Thanks,

Jim
