05 Mercury Gran Marquise

When I was a teen to early 20's we had a Plymouth dealer who ALWAYS had a good selection of Roadrunners, Barracudas (and 'Cudas), and ALWAYS at least one of the selection had a Hemi. Lots of time lusting... not to mention the $5-6 thousand Cobras. What other $6,000 investment would be worth millions? Maybe Microsoft or Apple Stocks

I bought an '87 Formula 350. Fun car to drive. 0-60 in about 4.5 seconds. Las Cruces to Hobbs, NM in about 2:20. Mileage really sucked over 110.

I still have my '87 Corvette. It was state of the art back then with the digital dash and new features. Couldn't give it away at this point. Nobody wants them.

Best use for Chevy 396 was a BOAT ANCHOR

Yeah, I destroyed one with 11:1, high lift cam, headers and a bunch more goodies with the mostly stock roadrunner above. That guy was so pissed he had 1000's of dollars in his Chevelle and got skunked with a 3:23 geared roadrunner. I did like those 68-70 396 Nova's tho. It was more the looks like the Plymouth Duster.

We take a cooler and lawn chairs on Friday nights to Danville and enjoy something that I didn't know that I'm missed so much. Ive been looking at Summit Racing & JEGS catalogs & really things haven't changed much. Been looking for a Car to build on but everything involves RUST around these's parts. Thinking about making a run to the West to find something without cancer.

Man, I had a 69 Roadrunner with the 383 and 4 speed, big Holley 4 barrel and air shocks on the back so fenders would clear the fat tires. That thing went fast in a straight line but good luck stopping! 4 wheel drum brakes....scary. Lucky to be alive really.....hahahaha. And my friend had a 59 MGA with a 283 stuffed under the hood, Olds rear end, that thing would eat muscle cars.

We had the usual Muscle running around. At the high school several had goats ( 68 GTO's). One time with two young man in it a 442 showed up and we were asking them all type of questions about it.

Im going hunting here pretty quick and then I will have to talk with you Pard, Your really making it hard to go hunting HA HA HA

I was just at my friend's place. He has a 1967 Chevelle SS396 that he has owned since 1971. I told him to put me in the will for that one even tho I am a Dodge guy. David
