2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Must have liked my truck

I had to tell sombody--

I was driving into work today on rt. 93n doing about 75mph. My turbo was whistling and my exhaust was roreing like something out of a Mad Max movie. (that ME kit from Genoes makes it sound REEEEAAALL GOOD!!)Anyways I was in the left lane and looked to my right to see a MA. STATE TROOPER cruising next to me checking out my truck. He was looking at it from front to back. When he looked up at me he had a very face but then shot me a big and gave me a thumbs up-----and just sped awayOo. Oo. Oo. . you should have seen the look on my face

That sounds like a major adrenal rush! Makes your heart want to jump out of your chest doesn’t it. Glad he was a fan.

Kind of like an experience I had last night. It was late and I was driving up a road which had a good grade to it. There was a wall/fence on the passsengers side, so I had the window down and was getting into the go-pedal (but not speeding) a little to listen to the Cummins music out the 4" exhaust. I come to this cross street and 3 cops have some guy pulled over. I let off the go-pedal to quit things down and go by. Well I get about a 1/2 block away and here comes one of those cops with his lights flashing, I got that awful feeling you get when you think you are busted while thinking Oh crap!!! Lucky for me the cop just sped on by with his lights and siren blaring Needless to say this kind of humbled me and I was light on the go-pedal for the rest of my drive.

Talking about the sick feeling you get when you are being pulled over by the law, about 3 weeks ago I was driving down a major steet in town not speeding or drawing any attention to my self, when I see a county sheriff coming down the street opposite of me and then flip a u turn and throw his lights on and pulled me over. Well I did'nt know what to think I did'nt break any laws as far as I was concerned. Well he came up to the window and the first words out of his mouth were sorry I pulled you over, but I had to know where you got that front bumper, which is a denver off road bumper, because he has a CTD and was looking for a replacement front bumper for his truck. So I gave him all the info for it and he apologized again and was on his way.

Last year my son bought a Ford Lightning (already traded it off because it didn't have 4x4 to pull his boat up the ramp) . He told me that a couple of cops pulled him over. As I was prepairing to chew him out for hotrodding which I taught him not to do, he explained the cops told him they just wanted to check out his awsome ride. He ended up got out and raised the hood so they could see the blower, let them sit in it and rev it up. They even called some of their fellow cops to come check it out. Of course he was proud to show off his new toy

One night I was out in town just run'n around like us young'ns do.



Anyhow I was on my way to my g/f's house with her a little ways behind. Well I had to go across the town square on the way to her house. Well our town square goes like this

you go up hill / then flat __ then down hill \



Well our town square just like any other is tightly enclosed with buildings, how do you think a straight piped CTD sounds going through!



Anyhow took off from a redlight at the backside of the square (the / part) well I was in a what tha hell mood so I was wind'n her out and shifting hard with plenty of pedal. She was sound'n SWEET BELLOWING off the walls! Well I get on the \ side just as I tach out 3rd and push in the clutch for the 4th gear shift and as I hit the base of the square (where the county jail is) I look up to see 3 sheriffs deputies in a semi-circle doing the :--) routine



I thought I was a goner for sure so I just put 'er in 4th eased out of the clutch and didn't touch the go pedal until I couldn't see 'em anymore!



They never followed

At the DDP dyno event the NW Bombers had recently in Monroe, WA, a cruiser suddenly comes trolling into the lot, slowly eyeing each and every one of the 50 or so trucks sitting there. "Oh great, did someone do a smokey burnout?" we were all thinking.



Turns out he has a Cummins and when he saw the huge truck crowd, wanted to see what was going on. He hung out and BSed with us for awhile. He wanted to run home and bring his truck to dyno, but he had a shift to finish and wasn't able to hang out as long as he wanted.



I think Lenny offered to let him put the cruiser on the dyno. We wanted to see how much power difference it would make by turning the lights & siren on
