You could see this on Memorial Day weekend...

Alternator problem, I think

Dang deer! I bet you could pick up that Trailblazer pretty cheap!

On the way to the old lady's house in the sticks last night - I had to get on the binders in the TDI for a wild turkey, and about 5 deer in various stages of either being in the road or about to cross the road. Of course, if I counted all of the deer I saw in the fields, there would have probably been about 2 dozen out last night within 1. 5mi of her house.

They never do that when I'm in my '94 with the war bumper... I've already got one with that thing about 4 years ago in MA. All it did was slightly break the plastic driver's side headlight 'bucket'. I wiped the fur/blood off and drove home.

The other day on the way to work at ~8AM - two Jakes decided to cross a 4-lane divided highway. The first one ran and kinda sorta flew across the road (causing cars to swerve/brake). As the second one spooled up and made a mad dash from the field towards the road - I gunned the accelerator! The noise from the truck (I only run a 4" downpipe... nothing else) scared the bugger and HE put the binders on and stopped dead in his tracks.

Loud pipes save lives! I'm not sure if I want to install the rest of the exhaust system on the truck... :-laf

MMMMMMM, I dunno.

I might call BS on that one. Not a drop of hair or blood on the bumper?

Spatter patterns inside look a little odd.

Look at the drivers headrest. Lots of spatter. I don't think anyone was sitting there. No key in the ignition. Lots of blood but not much guts. Where is the rest of the deer?

Too much damage to the hood for that and again no blood or hair.

I've seen enough of these accidents in real life to be REAL skeptical of this one.

Snopes anyone?

If it is fake, its a good one. If its real the driver must have pooped his drawers! (Don't see any of THAT on the seat)

Steve

Farther into the thread the question was asked about a possible fake and another one claimed it happened in Wisconsin, and that a Minivan hit the deer, tossing it up in the air and the TB hit is while it was in the air.

Nothing on Snopes or Urbanlegends.

I still don't quite buy it. Both halves of the deer are outside the vehicle and all that blood inside?

Still dunno.

Steve

There is too much blood on the driver's seat. Did the driver duck and lean to the right to avoid being hit? If he/she did lean to the right there wouldn't be any blood on the right side of the seat, there is.

How did the blood get onto the back of the back seat?

If part of the animal landed in the "trunk" area of the vehicle, there would be a pool of blood. There isn't. If the parts went through the back window (no photo of the back hatch), there wouldn't be that much blood.

I don't think the color of the blood is correct either. It is too light. By the time photos would have been taken the drips and other splatter would have dried and should appear much darker in color.

I say fake!

looks to me like the vital parts whent in at the hard left of the vehicle, you can see where the panel like where our gauges pods go is busted, and hit the drivers window and bounced towards the drivers seat and all at the right angle that it would take to get the blood behind him/her so to speak and cover the seat leather. I think the only explanation IF IT DID HAPPEN is that the other van musta been comming towards the TB and right before they passed hit the deer first and put the oblique 9 or 10 O'clock angle on the deer and extra force to cause the damage we see in the pics. The hair and fatty skin on the steering wheel lokks very real, But the blood and stuff in the very back looks a little like over kill the bright red color suggests that it came out of the lungs.
