Im soooooo glad your so glad that I am so glad you got you got an 06 :) :) Nice truck,I like the dash better without the wood, yours looks nice. How about the head lights are the any better then the old ones?

Really pretty truck. I like the non-wood grain of the dash. Lucky you with the next generation NAV (big screen). The whole interior has a more refined look. I really like the subtle upgrades to the grille and the front bumper too. I think the headlights are a little tough. Something about the swept back angle. Might grow on me. I'll have to let it settle. :-laf

Congrats & enjoy!

I don't think the headlights are what people have a problem with, it's all the extra chrome around them, I would like to black them out like the 06 Charger. Got the truck at invoice which was 42,000, the big expense was the 6 disc/sirius/navagaion radio but man it's sweet.

For me, the issue is the swepped back angle of the corner of the headlights as they move toward the rear along the fender:

Yes it is sweet. A very few people have complained about the new dash but there was no way to move on to the next gen NAV / Electronics with the old layout. I think the dash and interior in general are a nice upgrade.

Signed,

Jealous w/the old style RB1 NAV :-laf

Looks like a Durango with Trailer Tows, Clearance Lights, and a Bed :-laf ... Don't get me wrong... I'm happy for you, just feel the original 3rd Gen front end is the better looker of the two... granted my rig is not equipped as yours, but it was $8500- more than I paid... I'm sure you won't be dissappointed in your truck...

The "trick fix" for these '06's might to debadge them and get some blacked out headlight covers, that would look real trick on the Black Sportster. With all that headlight area and power, you might not even have to take the covers off at night to see well... :-laf

Congrats on the new hot rod, the Dash looks great, as does the black.

I agree- good to see that you CAN get it without the PLOOD (PLastic wOOD). I'll have to order a "sport" dash insert piece from the parts counter when I get around to ordering a Laramie (which comes, like it or not, with the PLOOD).

:D "Man", I love my 2004. 5 3500 and I know you will love your's and I don't care what people say I like the look of the new truck and I saw this company at the L. A. car show that has custom parts for this truck I just can't remember the name of the company right now.

Sport Version looks better, but damn that front is sure ugly... What is up the idea of making everything on that dash square? I feel retro late 70's early 80's with that. But congrads on the new truck, enjoy it

I like the sport also. I have a 2500 black sport but like others here the money is what held me back. My truck is paid off. If I would have gotten the 06 I would still owe. I really like the Nav on the 06. Mine is really lacking compared to yours. Enjoy the truck.

:D Remember when everybody thought that the models before the 3rd gens were better looking.

I think it looks good too. I still want to see one in person. I would also like to see one with some bigger tires and a lift.
