I was gone on vac. for 4 days,i got home this afternoon and when to start it after sitting for 4 days and it would start at first for about 3 seconds then it would die like someone shut the key off. I have a bullydog triple pup with a outlook monitor, would this have anything to do with it?About 4 hours later I plugged in my triple pup and it reads VIN mismatch unplug will not reprogram without stock on other vehicle,on the progamer screen not the outlook screen. So i plugged the oulook monitor backup and now it just cranks over and won't run. Then i opened up the fuel filter to look at it and it was full of fuel so i went ahead and drianed it and installed a new fuel filter. When i turned the key on to pump fuel backup up to fill the fuel filter, i don't hear anything working as in the fuel pump noise. The truck worked fine when it was parked.

Confused Matt

Some have had problems with the starter wire (blue or yellow). Also, it sounds like the computer forgot your key (chip). Have you tried both keys?

If the Bullydog is a downloader program your ECM is probably corrupt. Not sure what causes it, but it lost the VIN in memory. The WCM sends the VIN to the PCM to make sure it is OK to start. If they don't match it shuts off the fuel. The only way to correct it may be to replace the ECM, WCM, the TIPM and the cluster all at the same time. The reason is they all store the VIN and vehicle configuration file. If the VIN is just missing or corrupt you might be OK. If you pulled the program from a buddys truck, when the dealer pulls the VIN and runs it to see who it belongs to your busted.
