My '07 5.9 vs. '05-06 Chevy 2500 gasser Race-who do you think won???

Alright just for fun, I want to see what you guys think. I raced a '05 or '06 Chevy gasser today. I want to see who you guys think won. Here's what he had:

You guys can see what I have in my sig. We raced twice, the outcome the same both times. I just want to stir up some discussion to see what you guys think. After a few replies, i'll chime in and fill you in on the details and the outcome.

Now as to how bad you beat him, are you auto or manual?

He beat you, and I'll tell you why. Your truck is basically stock, he has a programmer. The big block chevy is no slouch. Stock vs stock it would have been all you, programmer vs programmer all you. So if you did indeed loose, don't be ashamed, get a programmer and challenge him to a rematch.

You do realize he has a Smarty Jr. right? If it was on 100hp, that Chevy wouldnt have a chance. A gasser programmer only adds what maybe 25-50hp, IF that much? The Chev likely had a 6. 0, maybe an 8. 1. An 8. 1 with a programmer isnt gonna touch a diesel with one

OOPS, I Missed the Smarty Jr. in the corner of his sig. #@$%! Should have been wearing my reading glasses. Gonna have to agree with you, if he lost he should be ashamed.

Strokethis is right. He got smoked and it wasn't even close. I was sitting at a light not even really paying attention when the guy pulled along side me. When the light turned we both left at the same time but then he hammered it. So I rolled into mine when I realized he was trying to race me. I easily gained and then passed him. At the next light he had sort of a bewildered look on his face. I could tell that he didn't think a diesel could run like that! I had the Jr set on the 100hp setting. He told me at the next light what mods he had and was asking what I had done to my truck. When that light turned he tried it again, except at the second light he got smoked even worse because I was ready and he didn't have as much of a head-start as when we were at the first light. I was actually really surprised at how easily I beat him. I know even the Dmax 3/4 tons are MUCH lighter than our trucks are, not to mention a gasser has to be even that much lighter. I was thinking the weight would have made a much bigger difference!

The most he had extra with superchips and the 8. 1 was 32. 6hp/37. 6 tq... If he was lucky he was making 380/500 at the CRANK!!! On SW3 my truck put down 436/801 (Corrected. . dont have uncorrected sheets here) to the GROUND!!!. . . Yes if you lost it would have been SAD
