JUST got my 02 2500 6spd and if you saw my last post i immediately changed the coolant from the green kind to murray's. i did this at my mechanic buddys prompting after he looked at his mechanic's software and it advised against using the green kind. it is a silicate? i think? and the other kinds are slicker and the silicate matter could break down your water pump and other parts-he told me. so we changed it. i noticed on the underside of the radiator cap it was sludgy and looked like bird crap. is this normal? we flushed it with his machine adding about 7 gal of 50/50 murray's and h20. the next day after driving it a few town miles and stopping and shutting it off, it started puking a bit of coolant from the lower hose, i think maybe from the clamp. been too late and dark for me to crawl under there but maybe the clamp is just loose? it doesn't leak at all while running and now the res. is down and today the leak was either smaller and running down a hose or located somewhere else as it was dripping further back towards firewall/wheelwell area on pass. side. any input? not necessarily a 911 but it's my 1st ctd and i'm overwhelmed by the magnitude of the truck, the lifestyle, the bada##ness:-laf and the payments:{thanks in advance

turbo hose clamp set to self destruct=my first repair job!

ok, so i crawled under there today with it running up to temp and saw the leak in the lower hose. the turbo hose running from the intercooler has a spring loaded clamp and the remaining threaded stud was rubbing on the radiator hose and made a small hole. these were all orig. hoses and they seem to be in the same position they always have been in from the factory so maybe this is a heads up to some of you other guys to check the orientation of the clamps to see that they are not interfering with any hoses. just my super, uber, ultra rookies 2cents worth. got to get dirty in my buddies garage and it only took me 2. 5hrs! i forgot to look in his shop book to see how long it would take a pro to do, but i'm guessing closer to 30 minutes. oh well. it was fun to replace. learned a thing or two and of course, i loosened the turbo hose clamp and rotated it to the underneath side of the hose. on a side note, i'm absolutely thrilled to be here and participate in a technically awesome site. thank you all for the help, past and future.
