I purchased a 2005 SLT, Crew Cab, 4X4, SWB, AT, with 373's back in April and absolutely love it!!! I just turned 17,500 on it and it runs like a champ. Nothing like the diesels I drove on the farm as a kid... ... ... .

I just joined TDR and this is my first post, so be easy with me. ;)

I'm looking at purchasing a package deal that includes:

- MBRP dual 4" exhaust

- Edge Juice with Attitude

- aFe Performance filter system

I'm looking for any input on the performance of this set up and mainly the reliability. Is there any gain on fuel economy and how well will the stock transmission hold up?

I drive mostly highway miles, but a occasionally pull a small 10' trailer with a 4-wheeler and odds/ends on it though the mountains of WV. I would say 80% of my milage is highway miles, empty.

Thanks in advance for any input.

welcome. i too am a new member but learning quick. just want to keep adding but running out of money. i think that package is a good set up all depending on what your doing with your rig. but you will see some mpg gains as well as performance. i would definantly would recommend gauges if you don't have any just too be safe. otherwise best of luck.

Welcome to the club! I say, when you decide to get a diesel you get a REAL diesel. Hope it runs as long as mine. I also hope the price of diesel fuel will get back down were it should be!!

The Juice/Attitude has the gauges built into the cab controller. Adding a transmission temp gauge might be a good idea as well. The truck can take about 65hp with no real ill effects. The turbo and trans are the weak links. If you run that light all of the time, you are unlikely to have any problems and if you can keep your foot ,out of it the milage should come up a little. If you plan to use the higher settings on the box you should seriously consider an aftermarket torque convertor and valve body for the trans first and a slightly larger turbo second.

Welcome, I'm a first timer too, but on my third(still have the second two)mighty DODGE. Hope you enjoy yours as much!
