Spinning Logo problem

Odd but true everything here on the site will not animate. The turbo , bouncing smileys , crying ones , even the ads  Kinda in limbo here. Funny thing is that there have been no changes to the PC whatsoever. AND I even cleared my cache , cookies , and everything.

All working here and no changes on our side. You sure you didn't install any kind of speedup software? Check on your tools->options menu under advanced there is a multimedia category that has options that can be turned off which will stop animations from playing.

Have you given thought to doing a system restore to a couple days ago when it was working properly ?. . that has bailed me out on things several times. .

Hey Tool. .

I have a really big sledgehammer which I have found to cure most any computer problem, would you like to borrow it????.

Incidently, all your hopping, jumping and rotating gifs are working fine here... ... . Andy

Guys this is wild. Yep Steve that was the first thing I checked and all is good there. I don't want to go back as far as my last restore point ... . well because I just can't (Framework Relation) and all Gif's animate on other sites In fact right now the only thing moving is my lil' mouse guy up there and that's it. Not even the smilies section to the right of this reply. I am gonna have to dig deep here as this IS weird . . really weird.

Wow I just Peeled off any and every relation to the TDR off the fav's list , history , cache , and cookies. Heck I had it so the TDR had no Idea who I was. restarted came back and now it looks like the color is in 256 mode and still no animations.

Here everything on THIS PAGE moves for me. Yet In limbo here??

Tool. .

Are you sure its not the loose nut behind the computer screen?????????. I still have that sledgehammer available for use, just don't hit your rusty truck doors with it,LOL.

Anyway, have you cleared out your internet art lately or ran your defrag program?. When this old heap gets hitting on only 4 of its 6 cylinders I do a little cleanup, run the scan disc and defrag it,reboot and the old heap runs a tad longer. At some point I know its going to give up the ghost but I can only hope its after I get back to work so I can get a new tower built... ... ... ... . Andy

Toolman they are correct a defrag would help also you might want to clean up your registry you would be amazed how many problems reside in your clsid and how many dead links are left on your machine you also mite try a free program like Adware or something like it to get rid of ads, trojan horse mailware, dialer programs, keystroke loggers and other programs that you never knew twas heir. just a thought  also is all your software and hardware updated to the latest version? Keep on truckin bro it ain't all that bad. :--)

Have webroot's spy sweeper and has been scheduled to fully sweep @ 2:30 A. M every day for the past oh say 12 months or so (Has actually grabbed and scrubbed 4603  actual spyware programs scince install) And use Regikleen on a regular basis.

Everything else on my home network runs fine EXCEPT the big bad HP??

I will actually go thru my registry tomorrow and look to see if there has been something mis scrubbed by webroot. The HP (The one with the issue) is mainly used for TDR surfing and higher demand programs as it is the powerhouse on the network after the dell and sony and compaq (What a minagere  Hey look at that he is rolling his eyes :{ )

Tool...

With now 4-8 more weeks off of work and nothing to do I guess I could deliever it to you, just don't ask me to swing it,LOL.

I use Webroot's Window Washer program each time I log off for the night to keep the Windows free of unwanted cookies, art and misc crap that tries to attach itself to my old heap. Weekly I run Spybot,Ad-aware and my Norton IS Pofessional to try and make sure its rid of the other crap. However there are still times when I feel the urge to fix the problem with the sledge as I did with the last home PC... ... ..... Andy
