I want a torque converter control to be able to lock in second and bam through the shifts, I want it to stay locked when I mash the throttle and the truck shifts from 4th to 3rd and then back to 4th. I dont have a jake and I dont need any more engine braking that the stock tow hual button gives me. Therefore I have the apps disconnected from the co piolot because the tc locking when I let my foot off the petal just got annoying.
My first question is; If the green light is on on the box and I have verified that the blue wire off of the box( conn to TCC selinoid) is grounding, 10 lbs boost, truck going 45-50mph med throttle why is the tc not locking.
it locks accaisionally accelerating at med to light throttle when boost is between 10 and 20lbs and will then stay locked as i mash the throttle.
most times it will stay locked when I mash it and it shifts from 4th to 3rd (60-65mph) and back, however sometimes it will shift to third and unlock and instantly redline until i lift the throttle then it will shift to 4th and lock but the green light never goes off.
And then yesterday I was accelerating onto the freeway chasing a porsche I mashed it, I think I was in second, engine to redline going about 40 and wham it locked out of the blue and both rear tires broke loose and I fishtailed for about two hundred feet. Kinda frightened me.
The Co piolot and the transmission are not playing nice together leaving me with an unpredictible beast. What can I do to tame it, should I try the BD towloc? what do the drag guys use? I dont need engine braking, I just want to pass the porsche.
