What's with teh Diesel Page - ?

As I was driving my daughter home from her dance class today, she says, "Daddy, can I have the truck when you don't want it anymore? I love the truck!" What more could a dad hear from his daughter to make his day?:D She'll be 10 next Thursday, so I have 6 more years with it before the pressure is on. She also told me how much she loves the sound of it when we walked by the pipe as it idled.

Yeah, this kid will be alright. :D

Hey Dave, if I ever have a daughter, I hope she thinks like your's. That will probably be in the distant future. Got to meet the girl first. :)

Sounds Like me Dave:D

I used to be that way with my Dad when I was her age. I always love the sound of his truck. Yea, If she wants your truck, Watch out when she is 16,She'll give them sad little eyes:p

Which I did with my Dad, And I got his truck Years agoOo.

Oh well, got my Own truck now, What's funny he likes the sound of mine,LOL.

Good Luck When she turns 16:D

Fireman Dave I don't have a little girl but i just adopted a little boy who is 17 mos. old and as soon as i say let go bye bye he's heading for the back, and while he is in the truck he make the sound of the engine as it taking off from a stop. Can't what to here him talk.

Good post FD Dave

I have two little girls, 4 and 7 YOA. The other day they were both in the truck and the big one said "Daddy, make some smoke" while the little one said " wait 'till I open the window to hear it" . LOL, gotta love it. Needless to say, I satisfied their request with a couple of low boost romps as they went  :--) . Wouldn't trade them for the world.

Cool, Scott. Oo.

My daughter wants me to make smoke, but I can't since my power is stock. :{ :{ She likes the smoke some of our other TDR guys make at the local meetings.

She came outside to hear it and really liked the sound the night I got home from the exhaust surgery. :D It's funny how she gets the diesel thing when a lot of adults don't get it.

too cool

, hey it just goes to show you that we as parents have a huge influence on what our kids think , keep up the good work and dont forget to Re-influence all you can:cool: :D

I've got two girls, the oldest just turned 6, and the little one is 4. The other day, my wife had a DDS appointment, so I had to pick up the little one from her pre-k school. They have a circular drive at the school, parents line up and pick up the kids at the front door. Anyway, when I pulled up to the front door and got out to meet my daughter & help her into the truck, there was a guy behind me in a std. cab 2wd nissan or toyota truck. My girl spotted him and started pointing and laughing saying "daddy, look at that litle bitty, puny truck. Why is his truck so little?" At least the guy was a good sport he was laughing as hard as I was!

I have a 10 year daughter myself. I installed a COMP around New Years, she loves the sound and the smoke, and the sound of the turbo whistle. God, I love my daughter.

Sounds like we're all Blessed. :D

I can relate

I know what you guys mean. My 6 yoa daughter's favorite thing about the Cummins is the way it shakes on shut-down. And when I ask my 3 yoa son what is under the hood he says "Cummins Turbo Diesel. ":D Gotta love that. My boy asked if my buddy's '01 PSD was more powerful than ours and after telling him that we have the strongest motor out there, he is always reminding me of that.

I'll go you all one better. My 39 year old daughter wants to give me back my 96 1/2 ton and take my 99 diesel quad. her excuse is sheneeds more room for my 2 grandsons. She really likes the way the loud petal makes it move out. She only knows 2 speeds - stop and petal to the metal.

Those daughters sure have us wrapped around their little fingers, don't they? :)

Then they become teenagers :--)

Then they move out on their own and leave us alone with our wife :D :D (or in a few cases :{ )

My two year old grandson has allways loved my truck. He is allways bugging me for a ride, and when the Eng. fires he jumps around in his car seat. One day last summer we were in the yard and as soon as I put him down he runs to the truck and trys to climb up on it, and before grandpa could stop him he stuck his arm up the exhaust pipe clear to his shoulder, boy was his mom mad at me. Took her awhile to get the soot off. hehehe. :D

How about this one - we were camping this summer with my parents and my brother and his wife. We're sitting around the campfire with our trucks parked nearby. I pointed to my truck and asked my 18 month old daughter what it was and she said "TRUCK", pointed at my brothers F150 supercrew and asked what it was and she said "CAR" :-laf !! I almost lost it!

mine too!!!!!!!

my daughter's five and she has already asked me for my truck--she just loves the noise and the smell. "i love the smell of diesel in the morning" she always says... ... :D

There's all the excuse you need, Dave. "Honey, I have to buy some power upgrades, (insert best Clinton voice) it's for the children" Note: it works better if you bite your lower lip ;)

LOL@Dan !!!

Or you could tell her that you just got whooped by a Chevy Vega and you can't have the kids seeing Dad lose as it's real bad for his image ;)

Every time my 4 yr old half brother sees a Dodge Cummings he gets all excited and says there is brothers truck, he's only seen the truck about 4 or 5 times. My dad said that the last time I pulled in the driveway he took off running to the door yelling Marshall (thats my name) over and over. Gotta love it:D

And you think you got it bad,eh???

Hey Dave,,You think its neat when your daughter said that, well mine is the same age and her favorite sport when she rides with me(which is whenever the rattlebox starts) is ricer flaming,,Seems she is on the lookout, all buckled in, for the perfect canidate,,It almost brings tears to my heart when she sees a Phord and goes bonkers for her target aquisition mode and the ensuing smiles she has from ear to ear afterward,,My major problem here is TWO rather large ones,my wife and 17 yr old son,,Son has got the itch just to wheel her on Saturday nites "cruising and chick hunting"and my wife, bless her heart wants ones of her own,,Her only problem is she's too fussy, want a needle in a haystack truck,Intense Blue Sport Quad cab shortbed Automatic truck,,I've been looking and so far the Durango she drives is still nestled warmly in my garage with a fresh coat of shine to her,,Kinda hope when she pulls her out in the sun she forgets all about the diesel(as she now slaps me going by and reminds me that will not happen),,I'll trade ya... My wallets going to hurt... ... .
