could'nt believe my eyes when I pulled up to the house after work, the UPS guy or who ever delivered my new south bend con ofe was scattered from heck to breakfast all over the lawn my 2 german shepards were hungry and was looking for food, well they did'nt find it there but they sure ate the box and packing foam, it was scattered . got lucky on the small package of parts , they were under the pressure plate safe and sound



I think I will be ok but the dern dogs aint gonna be

Talk about customer service, a dog eats a clutch and the vendor replaces it , its service like this that confirms what a great vender Southbend is . I appreciate the offer but upon a close inspection of the components I find no damage to them and will be able to install . I still am very impressed with the backing from you Peter, your customer respect and practices will take you far. I have always said that if you have something great to sell and if it truly is a great product than it will sell itself so you must sell the service to make it all complete.

Customer Service

Time to put South Bend at the top of the list, right along side of Geno's for outstanding Customer Service. Maybe the TDR membership should kick in and award a plaque each year to the Vendor with outstanding customer service. I know it would be a job to pick ONE, maybe one for manufacturer, one for parts distributer, and one for service only shop would fill the bill. Also, maybe it would change the attitudes of several vendors who talk the talk, but fail at the walk part.



Just an idea about an awards program, we've got a lot of time 'til the end of 2002. Maybe a show of our thanks in this small way would slow the growing list of vendors "I'll NEVER buy from THEM again.



I'll call Robert to get his approval next week, and we all can think about it, and post a poll and draw up a list of requirements in a few weeks.

I'm not yet ready for a clutch but when I am it will be south bend. Ah shucks, I must admit I already had planned on getting a south bend clutch (when needed) from all the previous posts that I have read. Butttt, that does make one feel even better.

Even though all my friends have South Bend clutches in their CTD powered Rams (and love them)... and I have a DTT prepped automatic in my Cummins/Ram, I wouldn't hessitate at all to buy a South Bend clutch if I ever go back to a stick.
