Here is my plan. My g/f and I share the truck, you know, a family vehicle, haha, but I still have my bike (car is sold). She wants it straight-piped stock system or a 5" cat-back straight. I agree but I don't want to spend money on a 5" unless she likes it straight piped.

1) Get/fab up a 4" straight pipe, see if she likes it over time

2) If not, put stock muffler back in, possibly get a 5" cat-back with muffler, all we would lose is the $50 for the 4" pipe.

3) If she does like it, get a 5" straight piped cat-back, and if in the end she doesn't like that, get a 5" muffler

Also, if I were to run 5" on the passenger side, would it be possible to add a driver side with Y-pipe to make it duals?

Sounds to me like you have pretty well thought it out. The plan sounds good to me.

My only comments would be that I fail to see much benefit in a 5 inch system if you keep the cat. I'll bet the 4 inch will flow more than the cat! Also, if you run dual tail pipes, two 5 inch pipes would be TOTAL overkill!!! Even two 4 inch pipes would be far more than you need!

I've been told there wasn't enough room to run a 5 inch pipe to make duals... I looked into before I put my stacks on. can't run them over the axles Damn it... I'll run it up through the bed... It sounds awesome!!!

Thanks guys. Yeah 5" is overkill but isn't half the fun just looking at it? So no dual 5"? Darn! Oh well...

Thanks guys.
