H3 prototype Photos pricing, any pro photographers out there?

Was in the house and heard a loud roar, wife and son beat me out the door, I ran around the house and 2 F15's were making a turn and went past with my Amercian flag in the foreground.

Man what a sight! I went off by myself and bawled like a baby.

Thank you to all Veterans and those involved overseas and here at home.

Me too

John Wayne made a recording called "Why do I love her?" It's about all the natural wonders and the deep sense of patriotism we share in America. It always makes me cry like a baby. I cry, because of my disbelief at the people who call themselves Americans, and who denounce our fundamental freedoms. Disagree with them, and we aren't supposed to have the right to disagree.

Makes me all the more the active participent in being a good citizen: support the Constitution, the Bill of Rights and stay in constant contact with my Congressmen.

It's not a Democracy, it's a Republic!!!!!

God bless America, our President, and our military.

A couple of months ago there were a couple of P-51 Mustangs flying in formation with F-15's, F-16's, and A-10's around Davis Monthan AFB in Tucson. Awsome sight. They were flying right over our apt. most of the day. I was outside installing a generator in my camper, and had to stop and look everytime they went by. It was interesting because you could hear the very distinct sound of the P51 and the fighters completely separate from each other.

a photograph perhaps? been reading a factual book on the p-38. real interesting plane. if I remember correctly a german ace with over 75 kills avoided the 38's if at all possible.

I didn't take any pics of the P-51's because they would be too far away for my cheap digital camera. I decided to just savor the moment (day) and remember the experience. The P-38 is another story. Sort of like two P-51's tied together.

Monday morning I was outside putting up my American flag and also my POW / MIA flag when I looked up and a couple of F-18's buzzed house...

I live within 35 miles of NAS Lemoore so they were real close to home.

I also got to see 38 of these aircraft as they flew over the government center where I work when they came home from Iraq. .

It is a beautiful site to see them fly...

Thanks guys and gals for keeping us free!

We dont usually see anything as exotic as FA-18's F-14's etc.

I'm kind of centered between Lakehurst NAWC, and McGuire/ Ft Dix.

I see a lot of KC 130's all the time. Not very exiting. :D

I have the NJANG about 30 miles south of me. I see A-10's practicing. Pretty neat to watch them practice with their cannon. Hate to be on the recieving end of that thing.

I saw a stealth fighter F-117 that looks as if it took off from Lakehurst once. Theyre prety loud for being "stealth".

I was out riding the ninja today and went down a road that's at the end of the runway and a c-130 was taking off. Although I see them all the time, I still enjoy them and having it right over my head while on the bike was impressive feeling and hearing the horsepower. On rare occasion we see a fighter plane.

A few months ago I was at McD's by the Manassas Airport and got to watch an Osprey go over - very slowly and very loudly. They were doing some sort of testing on them out here.

I get to watch F16 fighters come in on their approach in formation almost every day. Got to watch a C5 (again) take off one day last week - that thing is HUGE.

I got it pretty good where I live for viewing military aircraft. To the east of me around 50 miles is Philadelphia and Willowgrove Air Base (PA national guard and Navy)

To the West of me around 50 miles is Fort Indiantown Gap where they do some practice runs. Almost daily I get to see A-10, C-130 and a variety of choppers moving between the 2 bases.

Plus south of me around 75 miles is Dover Air force Base, Get to see those C-5's flying in slow motion every once and a while.

The summer is real nice for viewing. I live around 20 miles south of Reading Airport. They have a big air show every year where the Confederate air force brings in some of there old planes.

When there doing a show they take off from Reading, then fly south and keep circling where I live until its there turn! Its neat to hear the sounds of those old piston engines. About a year or 2 ago we had a B-17 and B-29 in the "show holding pattern" for about a 1/2 hour.

My office window faces west toward the Pentagon & Arlington Cemetary.

I see "Missing Man" formations with all sorts of aircraft two or three times a week. Still get choked up every time the lead goes vertical.

The C-5 is also referred to as FRED. F-----g ridiculous economical disaster. When I was deployed to Guam last year they missed 9 out of 10 take off times and 6 out of 10 missed missions. They are big and they look neat but they are an abortion.

I didn't need to see this....

what a bummer.

why?

maintenance, durability, personnel, airport ain't got that much fuel  ?

So the C-130 will still be the primary grocery cart for the DoD for quite a while? the C-17's ( I think that's the designator) pretty cool, too. Can taxi in REVERSE, UNASSISTED...

I guess with jet engines you don't really need the "BEEP, BEEP, BEEP" when you drive backwards :)

Richm,

The maintenance is the killer for the C-5. It's reliability rate is around the mid 60 percentile and low 70's. Pretty bad for the primary heavy air lift hauler of the Armed services. They are talking about re-engineing to help with the realibility but it is more than just engines.

good variety of hardware here, too....

I see the garden-variety, mundane, (*pretending to be jaded and bored* *yawn*) F-15's, F-16's, and A-10's overhead all the time, but, sometimes, I see the movie-stars, like the SR-71, (once) the B-1B (Concorde with an attitude :) ), the B-2 (very cool, but just doesn't look right), and lots of Sikorski Blackhawks

when the "bone" went over, and got past the city limits (coincidence, or can the pilot actually keep track???) he hit afterburners, at only a couple thousand feet altitude, and it was DEAFENING!! A big proportion of that thing's exhaust note is a very LOW frequency, somewhere, seemingly, between 20 and 100Hz, and can, I'm sure, wiggle a seismograph. I thought he'd silenced the birds. Turns out, he'd temporarily de-functionalized my ears  .

That would have been a perfect time for something else to follow up... I'd never have heard approach or departure of a smaller aircraft, at all... I wonder if they actually use this property against "bad guys"?

IT WAS COOL!!! Oo.
