Help deciding on turbo(s)

Any 24 valvers with a Goerend single disc?....

Dynoed the truck at the indy dyno day with the stock fuel lines and only a carter pusher pump at the tank-results 511 hp. Dynoed today with fass installed and no other changes to the truck IT WENT TO 522 HP. Both were on a dyno jet with no changes made. The trucks runs smoother and definately felt stronger, and it appears the dyno backed up the claim. Not bad for a single turbo, diesel only, 24 valve truck.

I would like to put out a HUGE thanks to Keith at FOREST CITY DIESEL for all of his help in getting the truck where it is.

Re dyno

How many runs did you make before install and after install, Just one?

Please post all your dyno runs.

Thanks David

11hp gain still falls short of the 25-35hp claim.

But, then again... ... ... this isn't about HP now is it??:-{}

I do have to agree, I just finished my FASS install and took it fot a test drive today. I like the way it feels with the FASS. Smoother power, more quiet engine and felt stronger.

I'm pretty sure the GREATEST gains will be seen on fairly well modded trucks where the power increased power demand is already taxing a stock fuel delivery system that is borderline to begin with - toss in that same modded truck with a SICK stock system, and probably see more gains yet, but in any case, not likely to see any dramatic increases, regardless of hype...

Three runs before the fass. Two runs when it was installed. I wanted the fass for the reliability. But if it gives a few more hp then I'll take em' The truck is heavily modified, and was dropping the stock fuel pressure from 22 to 6 with the pusher and stock lines. -Dave

thanks,

Not bad power for a daily driver. The truck definately runs better. Now it time to go play at the races! I hope your in. :)

Ouch... ... ... . I felt that... ..... :-laf

Actually, we must go back through hundreds of posts to find out that *I* was NEVER the one who had made any HP claims. Thos came from Charles and Brad. And Gary, I agree completely- I think the gains will be far more noticeable on a modifed truck- From 22 to 6psi??? I seriously doubt the FASS actually provided any HP- but rather is now providing the engine with fuel it never had before to make that power.

On another note, I am curious to see the differences in the pumps compared on the DynoJet, as I know the Mustangs tend to run lower HP numbers .

Yea, but we will need to have hard proof that is SMELLS different. I don't want someone to TELL me that it smells different... . I Want hard proof that it smells different...

Murle, I'd have you come down and take have whiff with your own sniffer, but after all you've told us about your cattle dropping (or not for that matter) their loads, I'd say your sniffer is probably biased or, at the very least, a bit "full of it" already. :p :-laf :-laf .....

Nice numbers dlang! I did test with the FASS on that same dyno with a 04 a few months ago. The truck was almost stock(straight exhaust) and we made gains also.

Thanks 01HO. I have to keep the truck going up. Im always just a Wee Little bit behind this black one. ;) Your truck looked good at the drags. Going again soon?
