Driving to go pick up a custom downpipe for a turbo Civic we are working on, guy in a late 80s GTA pulls next to me. I glance over, not really paying too much attention. He floors it. I glance over at Chad, our tech/race driver, and we both grin. PUP is already at Extreme, so I pull in behind him. We both get in the turn lane, he jets out and cuts in on the car that was in front of him. This guy drunk or just an idiot, I think to myself. We both end up on the interstate, he's about 75 yards in front of me and is cutting in and out of traffic like a moron. He gets in the right lane and is getting off at the same exit as me... Again, I look at Chad and smile. I pull up behind him. As the offramp merges, he hits it. I wait until I am lined up, but he's to far ahead. I bite my lip and sure enough, traffic slows him down. I pull side by side... I slow... I wait, Chad says HIT IT. I do. He hits it. Much to his surprise, he cant pull on me. In fact, I begin to inch away. I shut her down, he immediately gets over and pulls off to get some gas, lick his wounds, whatever... . Minivan with some service guys goes by me honking the horn... window down, they give the thumbs up. Guess they witnessed the whole thing.

Merry Christmas!!!!

Nice Dave. A few months ago Blake Underwood was letting me drive his 04 truck and we came to a light with a souped up V6 Acura in the left lane. I took the right which merges to the left about 2 blocks ahead. The light goes green and he's peeling rubber 'cause he thinks I'm going to try and zip around him. Yep, he was right about that. Totally wrong about not letting me get by though. It was all over by 50mph. You shoulda seen the look in his eyes when I drove past and he's got 'er rapped to at least 10 grand :-laf

I'm happy with the power of my stock truck. But to be able to humiliate those, who think they can't be beat, would be awesome! That really sounds fun. The only way I've done it, is while towing our TT up some of the mtn passes. I'll be in the slow lane and all kinds of vehicles will be trying to pass in the fast lane, but they can't. In fact, a lot of the time, I end up passing them. I always wonder what they're thinking!

I was surprised. Last weekend I put the truck back to stock, b/c I was getting too used to the power of the PUP. Wow. What a difference. I put it back 5 minutes later. I really need to get up with Mark at DPP and get an exhaust on the way and have my cat neutered, too...
