My C&C on Christmas eve, had a check engine light come on with the EVIC showing no problems. I had just enough time to drop it off at my Dealer, and had the Fuel filter changed because it was due anyway. The code came up U-1421, and I had no evidence of what it states the cause was. Low Battery voltage code stored, doesn't seem like a real possibility, I've never had any low battery conditions that I'm aware of. Besides, it showed up as a stored code, does anyone have any insight to any other possible reason?
I am also looking into a buying a DTC reader, but not the cheaper ones available in the part stores, but not the very best either, any recommendations. Cost is not that important, just don't want to plug in a cheap one, and have it scramble my ECM/PCM. I would also like one that I can see real time data and when in regen if possible. My warranty is just about up, so an after market Black Box, that wont change programing, but will let me see real time data will work for me as well.
