Here is my Fuel system setup. I did this freehand on Photoshop.

This is working really well. at the bottom is my readings of PSI

Here is the Filter Mounted in the hollow of the bed right behind the cab. The top hose is the return from the regulator, the left is the main feed to the Pusher, one of the rights is from the tank and one of them is for the one-way bypass for the pusher pump

Here is the Pusher pump I have mounted on the frame and the one way checkvalve for incase the pusher fails

Pic of Aeromotive Reg. Installed

And a pic of the Regulator itself. Aeromotive # AEI-13301

This setup with the adjustable Regulator is giving me at idle 15PSI, When accel. it drops to 13 or 14 then back to 15 even on freeway. Under WOT it don't go below 13 psi. Flow is increased because of the small head preassure at the filter so even the Pusher pump don't have to work hard.

Bringing this back to the top for all the people that haven't read this. there are new Threads on this topic above... .

Still workin Good, No changes on the PSI.

I did notice when I went to May Madness, It went down 1 psi across the board, because of the Reg. and the Vacuum pump pulling it a bit from the lower altitude..... but still all above 12 psi and no more than 14

Moderators,

Hope you dont mind me bringing this back to the top. I try to let it go awaile (2 months this time) I believe I have fixed the dreded LP failures and want everyone to be able to see it. I do Link it on some other posts in that way.....

Eric:

I have some thoughts and questions about your fuel system as posted. Thanks for your interest and the time you took to share your system with all of us. If you have a moment, please give me a reply concerning the following:

I am interested in building a fuel system like yours and I have a couple of questions. Do you have part numbers/suppliers for the inlet filter/heater unit? Also what pusher pump did you end up using?

We (engineering company I work for) have participated in some engineering development projects related to fuel systems for mostly gasoline engines. During some of our studies we found that routing return fuel (regulator return) into the suction filter housing increased the air content in the fuel system, i. e. bubbles that are resultant of fuel shear during the pumping process are re-introduced into the system. Sometimes the bubbles (on the gasoline side) are responsible for elevated vapor lock risks. I realize that is not an issue for us, but I have heard some say that aerated fuel is less desirable on performance diesel applications as well. Do you think there is a way to route the return fuel back to the tank instead of back to the inlet filter system? Do you think it really makes any difference? Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

I tried your email address but it was kicked back.

Well I did have the #'s on MS Word but I had a problem and had to reinstall windos:mad: anyway, I lost the #'s I got the Filter/water sep. from

Diesel inj. service in texas

It is a filter/separator that takes the R-45p spin on filter.

There is also a wrench for the clear bowl bottom.

The filter has a optional kit for a water in fuel sensor and filter plugged sensor to go to a LED warning buzzer on the dash. .

OH heck I'll go see if I can find the receipt.....

Ok, here it is,

The rear Fuel tank is from West Marine

www.westmarine.com

Look for the below deck tanks and find the 18 Gal. tank

Also bought a deck plate for fueling up. this is slow filling, if you can devise a better filler for that setup, go for it. . There is a old Lift Pump transfering the fuel from the Aux to the main to a capped nipple that is a Aux fitting. I would guess it is another feed tube for like a diesel gen or something, so it fills there from the aux.

Back to the main tank, I also added a brass 90 deg ball valve for shutting off the fuel when changing the filter element. Also acts as a theft prevent... .

There were numerous brass fittings I did to make this all work like thread to nipple and compress fittings and the like. I used Reg 3/8" Fuel hose, I'd say about 20' of it or so, and so far no problems with the hose getting soft or whatever... .

On thing on the Filter intake, there is like a manifold inlet and a water separator, I have not seen any Bubbles in the clear bowl when the engine was running, so I assume there is none since it HAS to go to the bowl to get out the oulet side.

Hope this answers all your questions. Now to save this to MS Word... .
