Computer help -

Merry Christmas!

at 12:00 EXACTLY this morning our phone rang, my aunt's number came up on the caller ID and I just got a REALLY bad feeling, my dad walked in to my room about 10 minutes later. My grandpa died of compination heart/respiratory failure from smoking for the last 60 years. This really sucks, my grandpa was a Marine who fought in WWII and korea and absolutely NEVER forgot my birthday, any holidays, ANYTHING, there was always a phone call and/or a card for every occasion. Man this sucks, I have to spend christmas in florida now, we are driving down on christmas eve, I can hardly wait to deal with I-95 traffic (my dad and I are splitting the driving) Oh well, a sucky start to what's going to prove to be a very bad week. I won't be posting here for about 5 days starting monday night.

Will, sorry about the bad news.

Now for the good news, I see your signiture says "do diesel yet".

Last week I traded in a 98. 5 24v 2wd, QC 5 speed, 94K miles. All maintaince was done on time, plus anything else I could dream of (afford that is).

Biltsteins, Rays banjo Bolts, BD exhaust brake, Boost and EGT on painted A piller, Cooper SRMII are about 1/2 tread left.

Plus it has the brand new bed liner out of my 2002 in it (to hide the holes in the bed from my 5th wheel hitch and pickup camper tiedowns) Pump wire was never touched.

Lift pump has 6 months, 4000 miles on it, along with Thermostat, fuel filter, oil change, Anti freeze Flush, 140wt Amsoil rear oil.

Rear brake shoes and drums are only about 8000 miles old, Front Calapers are new, 2 brand new batteries. Only thing I can think is wrong with it is the front rotors will not pass inspection (only if the mechanic mics them, they are just a little below service level)

Anyway, No matter how they try to screw with the numbers, DeAmbrose in Downingtown gave me $12,500 for it, based on the truck they tried to sell me for 31K cash.

This morning it was still sitting out back of there garage. (ps, the rear Cup Holder is missing, Beat them up and make them give you one!

Hope this is what you are looking for. If you have any questions email mail me.

Marry Cristmas, and again, sorry about GrandPa

thanks towpro, I may have to look into that, it's a shame it's not d'ambrosio elverson, we buy all of our mopar parts for work through them. Looks like maybe tomorrow I'll make a route 30 trip to checkout your old truck

Will, Sorry about your loss. Sounds like you and your grandfather had a good relationship. Not much can be said at this time that will make you feel better but try to keep all the positive things that you will remember forever at the top of the list. Sounds like he was a good man and I know he will be missed.

Sorry to hear your loss Will.

I too lost my only grandfather I ever knew close to Christmas 6 years ago and I'm only 19. Same as you, never forgot anything and we were very close (I was the closest grandbaby so I was spoiled).

I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Will sorry to hear about your grandfather passing away. It's always sad when someone pass's away and right before the holidays makes it worse.
