Hey everyone! I recently bought a 1995 dodge ram 2500 CTD with 120K on it. I love the truck, runs great, but the front end needed something....an aftermarket bumper!

So, I started looking around the internet, finally decided on a Herd bumper. I was skeptical about the price point, so I contacted them direct to ask some questions.

The customer service rep pointed me in a direction of a distributor, and I was on my way to owning one of this great looking pieces.

Fast forward to last weekend, I finally had time to pull the old bumper and put the new on one. To my dismay, the bracket just wasn't working the way it should. None of the holes lined up for the stock hardware, and the bracket was about 3" too long, sitting the bumper further out from the truck.

I was pretty bummed, and I sent the CSR Janessa an email. She requested some pictures and requested the order number. In less than a day, she had the engineering department reviewing the problem. Seems as though not all Ram 2500's were built with a crossmember at the front of the frame where the bumper attaches. They are sending me a whole new bracket.

So, I have to wait until my new bracket shows up to see if that will fix the problem. I certainly hope it does!

I'll keep everyone posted!

Their bumpers are top quality and the prices do reflect that too. But their customer service is great also. Their bumpers never rust!
What model of bumper did you get?

We changed over to Herd bumpers several years back after some dismal dealings with one of their competitors.
Herd is an excellent company.

There are always issues on Class 8 trucks, for example there are several different frame end configurations on a 2016 Western Star. Herd has cheerfully worked through them all and made brackets for each style.
I'm sure that they will take care of your issue.

I got the AeroLT 2 post. It's really the only offering they have for the 2nd gen, but it's the one I wanted so I was okay with that.

They emailed today, shop engineers have identified what has to get done for a new bracket and it should be made by early next week. They are shipping to me on their dime. Once again, great customer service.
