I have read many LP problems that members are having. I wanted to avoid those problems. 1) Install Genos Fuel Pressure Gage - Westach. 2) Install BD Aux. lift pump kit - $265 3) Carry a spare Cummins LP - $140. These items can be purchased at Hoesli Diesel. My fuel pressure gauge always peged at 15 psi after installing the aux. lift pump. After installing I traveled for 5,000 miles and noticed that the pressure needle was moving back & forth. I realized that the Cummins pump was not working so I took my spare lift pump to a Diesel Shop and had it installed for $90. By using these precautions you will never to call a tow truck to have your pump replaced. You can always run your diesel Dodge 2001 truck on the Aux. Lift Pump.
