OK, earlier in the week, I saw 2 very small drips of RED colored fluid under my truck when i turned it off. Looked to be coming from H20 Pump area. Took to dealer, only found a loose lower radiator hose clamp. DOuble clamped it, pressure tests galore, fixed. Drove all week, no drips. Yesturday, little 2 drips were back. Not from hoses, etc. COming from passenger side. . bit of moisture pool just in Front of Oil Pan. . drips a TINY bit onto tie rod going across. I guess I had just enough for it to make it to the ground.

Here is the weird deal... it FEELS like oil. If I didn't have a stick I would SWEAR it was auto transmission fluid. Same consistency. Only two little drops so will wait and see. Anybody have ideas?? PS pump??? It's on the other side for that. ANyway, thanks. . any advoce would be great.

Check the water pump weep hole. However, If your certain it's ATF, and you have a handshaker like you stated, then it's in the steering system somewhere.

Oil drips

My truck scared me with a couple of drops of what turned out to be oil that oozed out of the grease I was using to lubricate my 2 grease fittings on the tie rod ends. Its worth a look. I thought I had ATF leak somewhere on my 6 speed Cummins. I know there is ATF everywhere on these new trucks. But I wasn't ready to see any of it on the garage floor! Ken Irwin

I have the same drip, took it in to the dealer they removed the water pump and its coming from the weep hole WTF???

Only 6500km and I need a new water pump!

The kicker is that their are no pumps in canada

so I have to wait for a week to two weeks!!!!!

My PS pump leaked like that - never enough to pool while sitting. Then at 37K it went completely, in addition to the steering gear box.

My power steering only leaked when driving leaving very small drops on the shop floor. Check the level in your power steering reservour. If its low... .
