guys i just got my drag video's up. plus my poor excuse for a top fuel dragster burnout. i will have the sled pull video's up later.

thanks Jim, they look GREAT! I love how in one of the ones you run, you can see the DD truck coming down the return road, leaning out the window to see your time.



I like that fat that they are so big, my T-1 connection needs a good flex every now and then! Got any bigger, maybe full screen quiluity?

i converted one in the best quality i could and it was around 60megs. :--)

60 megs is nothing, I downloaded a program(several in one "package" program) that Microshaft puts out that zipped was over 300 megs. That took less then 5 hours.

The DV-NTSC codec for video compression is 3. 6 megabytes per second.....



Uncompressed DV is about 50 megabytes per second... . you pay dearly in storage for good quality. Luckily, DV camcorders and VTR's apply the hardware codec before it's slapped onto the tape or other medium... .



Even a Media-100 or Avid non-linear digital video editing system uses about 10-15 MB/sec... . at 300KB/frame (M-100) or AVR 75 (Avid). Their bandwidth is so high that the HDD's have to be in a RAID array... . one drive can seldom handle that much stuff in so little time. got 15k rpm drives? hehe



FWIW, I've used the Sorenson codec with good results in the past...
