Mark,

Congratulations on pulling out that BIG truck. Nice job!!!

I've pulled out a number of stuck folks with my '91. 5 W-250. Pretty satisfying knowing the truck is that strong. Never pulled out anything as big as a semi, though.

The owner of Swift (Jerry Moyes, I think) lives about a mile from a piece of horse property, I own, here in the Phoenix area. His home is beautiful with huge out buildings to house his collection of motorhomes & toys. I'd be thrilled to live in his garages!!!

He is, also, supposed to be a pretty nice person. He has adopted numerous children. Those kids have a great place to live.

Almost felt sorry for this guy... parked it on a vacant lot next to his condo for his time off, came out to leave and the damn tractor was sinking into the soft stuff he was on. And he made matters worse by digging around the tires and really sunk it. Doesn't that Jerry own your hockey team also ? What else been going on Joe ? Long time , no see.

Yes. Jerry Moyes does own the Coyote's Hockey Team but, he's about to lose/sell it. They're not doing well, financially.

Hockey is not very big, in Phoenix. I think the fact that most everyone is from somewhere else, they don't have much allegiance to a Phoenix team. They are more interested in their old, hometown teams.

It wasn't until the Cardinals started to do really well that there was much interest, in them, it seems. When out of town teams would come to town, the folks that live here and are from those cities would wear their old hometown teams jerseys, to the game. You could see all the out of town fans in the seats. That problem has reversed sindce the Cardinals have started to do well.

Not much new, here. Real slow at work. Our local economy has been really hurt. In the past, we survived these downturns in the economy pretty well. Not so with this one!!! I think you're area has been hit hard, also.
